Nice Job if You Can Get It

How many years without even a hint of a Contract?

  • Chicago Public Schools CEO Janice Jackson is getting a $40,000 raise, bringing her salary to $300,000 in a mid-pandemic increase that was unanimously approved by the city’s school board.

What's the graduation rate for CPS?

What grade level are students reading, writing or doing math at?

What percentage of students aren't even attending remote learning?

Professional leechers. Hmmmm...only two letters separate teachers from leechers. I bet the average HS grad of the CPS, can't figure out what those letters are.

Meanwhile the city is raising property taxes, gas taxes snd cutting back on programs and leaving vacancies unfilled.. but one person gets a 40k raise.. someone who already makes 260k a year. She needed that raise right away during all this going on?? Oh Lorie, you know how to stick it right in the eye of all the chicagoans who are out of work and struggling during this pandemic.. they are unemployed or laid off and you make them pay higher taxes while giving a raise to someone already making 260k. Starts with f and ends with you...

Less than 60% graduation rate from Chicago HS, less students across the board-grammar schools and high schools, test scores in the toilet, wasteful spending, sexual abuses cover-up, and a teachers’ union so out of control that it appears it’s the Union that actually runs the schools.
But Jackson deserves a raise. Only in the alternative realm of Chicago is this possible.

But Lightfoot can’t give police officers a fair contract after nearly 4 years. Everyone has received a contract, even CPD supervisors.

A $40,000 raise a year for sitting at home for at least 8 out of the last 10 months when there has been no in person learning going on as suburban schools have been open since August.

Jackson doing a great job? Doing What?? The CTU walks all over her and Groot. Then CPS bitches about getting more money and were giving these people BIG TIME raises in the middle of a pandemic when people have lost jobs, CPS is the worst in the country and so many kids are not even learning over the past yr...what a fucking joke! Like the salary she was earning wasn't enough. What do the residents of the west and south sides have to say about that , esp when kids are not attending school, closing schools permanently and meals suck?

What’s the kickback for the mayor? Manila envelope must be heavy and full or does Janice have something on Larry? Again and again the mayor proves the city is not pro they have billions of dollars hidden hiring 2000+ goofballs to babysit kids for teacher sitting home and now she finds an extra $40,000 to give to this girl? Public school system with a mediocre if any graduation rate teachers that refuse to go back to work students weaving constantly parents moving away. If anything is Chicago public schools should be massively defunded massive layoffs and terminations her salary should’ve been putting a half when you’re the CEO chief executive officer of any company and you don’t do your job your job is to produce results the children are not getting the results needed you are terminated you’re not given a raise, but then when you live in the most corrupt city state and county in United States of America where Democrats rule stealing money stealing votes stealing elections this can happen dictator ship at its worst.

CPS Law's puppet Janice still says 'Let me axe you a question", I'm sure she goes to Jewels for her Millers too!

Her accomplishments:

- largest enrollment dip in the history of CPS

- remote learning included 1/2 of kids last year, 2/3 of teachers

- SPED is a wreck

- Sex assaults went thru the roof

- Steinmetz had 22 residency violators on staff since 2015-16, 7 teachers/staff removed with 2 teachers returning to $100K salaries and the 5 others fired and given DNH's

Remember, the more you fuck up for CPS and keep quiet enabling the CPS Code of Silence, the faster you climb the CPS ladder and more money you make.

If you care to look, go on the BGA website and look at pensions and salaries of government employees in Illinois. Educators are at the top of the list in just about every category .And, don't forget, they get the 3% compounded interest raise every year. That adds up

I say defund the CPS. They are not really educating the mass of kids that come through, yet the cost of doing so keeps ever increasing. Any Police officer can tell you that the average juvenile delinquent cant read or write beyond their signature and texting on a cell phone.
It's time to stop raising taxes saying "it's all for the children" and lower the heavy burden on taxpayers...
Chicago public schools are not getting the job done. Period. I am sorry to say that, but it's the cold hard truth. Yet somehow the media keeps piling on the police as the problem in the black and brown communities.
Yes crime is getting worse in this stinkhole. But the problem starts with the delinquents in the education system, NOT in the police department. The broken family unit is also just as much to blame, but lets start putting the blame in the right direction.

Whoa.
Weren’t “sacrifices” suppose to be made during these challenging and difficult times?

Not sure if these appointed positions come with performance ratings, and in her so far 2 year stint, the venerated Miss Jackson had it quite easy-peasy after successfully caving in to CTU demands, after The Strike of course and Larri’s March-Madness Lockdown StayAtHome elearnings/No Bid+Used computer contract and a corrupt CPS chief of staff indictment.

Something stinks. CPS was granted millions in CARES Act grants on top of yearly County tax levies and Chicago TIF surpluses, and that’s for the current fiscal year. Seems the teachers have not only saved on driving, gas, dry cleaning but also from having to use they’own pocket money to buy skool supplies since March (so far).

Holy-moly... 2020 became a banter year financially for all those attached to CPS employment and not a one of them had to take a “sick day or vacation day” to get time off. And aside from a few who somehow contracted the StayAtHome version of the Covid’s China Plague, some even managed to incite and threaten others with their radical social media postings during normal school operating hours. CPS is quite the oddity - in these challenging and difficult times.

Personally, I think that “raise” is tied somehow into the No Bid CPS deal. Hush money? If Larri doesn’t object and object soon, it’s going to add to her suspicious secret dealings on why and how come. Imbecile Larri doesn’t know who she’s dealing with. As paranoid as she is right now, anything can happen.

As bad as WGN is, they are better than Channel 7, where reporters are apparently obligated to add their own comments at the end of the story they report. Who cares if Cheryl Burton feels that some teen graduating high school or some kid handing out baloney sandwiches to a bunch of alcoholic bums is ‘outstanding’.

Another fine example of what happens when incompetence and identity politics is enshrined in the workplaces of our public officials instead of talent, excellence and accomplishment.

Schools failing? Students below average? No problem. Dial up a 15% raise for the top dog. Both Jackson and LL would be begging on the street if they had to find work in private industry, along with many members of the CTU. Sadly, they end up in public jobs being part of the lowest common denominator with little to no accountability to anyone.

Well, I see that there is an "EdD" after her name, that is the same "doctoral" degree that Jill Biden has, so go figure...anyone with a room - temp IQ can get at EdD, those degrees are considered jokes in the real academic community. Good read here:

https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/12/joseph-epstein-is-right-about-the-dr-problem/

"...As Stanford Education professor David Labaree wrote, other college professors “see EdD school teachers not as peers in the world of higher education but as an embarrassment. . . . To them the EdD school looks less like a school of medicine than a school of cosmetology...

All this matters because as marginal as education doctorates are in academia, where few become chancellors, they dominate public schools. Most school superintendents hold doctorates, nearly always in education and typically in educational leadership. This makes improving academic achievement and equity via reform exceedingly difficult..."
