Take a look at the libraries across Chicago on google maps it does not look like their is any major difference in the lack of libraries to the rest of the city. And fresh food, where are those fresh food buses from that Rahm Emanuel program that cruise those hoods? Watch the news any given day and they usually run at least one story about food pantries or drives by the food pantries or the virtue signaling do-gooders who have food drives for these neighborhoods. And watch as the starving masses (some are morbidly obese) drive up in their rides to get the food. They don’t even have to get out of their cars as do-gooders lift the boxes into their vehicles. And having a brand new ride does not preclude these people from getting the give a way that some other dummies donated to. “Folks” it’s just redistribution of the wealth.
As for Kim Foxx, we the people and those that are involved in the legal system are letting her destroy this county for accepting her behavior which is only going to get worse as she knows she is getting away with it.

This is all such nonsense. 011 has a library right in the middle of the district (Wilcox/Pulaski). I used to go there all the time to get free museum passes because none of the locals ever took advantage of them. There are at least 5 grocery stores in or very close to 011 if you count the Aldi, Save-a-lot, Pete's etc. That doesn't mention the 6 or 7 hospitals and clinics in the medical district and neighborhoods. It's a big lie created to ignore the real problems in these neighborhoods.
I stopped watching WGN completely on 3/17/20. I watched it when it aired. The first thing I said to my wife was that Fox didn't answer any of the questions put to her. It was a joke of an interview.
Interesting that we grew up in those south side crime-ridden areas. They were filled with low to moderate income families, who valued their neighbors, churches and businesses. What also made the tv news spot was when she said (not verbatim I dont think) if police dont do their job she cant do hers. So true. I can honestly say that I have avoided the so called news all my life. I saw first hand at an early age how the media bungles everything. I used to tune in for the weather before we had the internet but that was it. Until, this fake flu thing started.
Initially I got caught up in the hype. I mean, "everybody's gonna die" grabbed even my attention. I watched the daily fatass reports. I dismissed it after a few weeks. It was an obvious sideshow. I figured Trump would win and continue to get things straightened out as best he could.
I always knew all politicians were assholes but I also believed that after all the election histrionics, lieing and backstabbing was over there would be order and integrity no matter who won. And that worked ok until 2008.
I suspect some kind of mind altering substance far worse than the flu has been introduced to the population. Insanity has become the "new norm" or whatever the hell they want to call the end of what was at least an attempt by most to create a moral civilization.

Walking to and from Grocery is good EXERCISE. Many Members of the Communerty have weight issues and it is in their best interest to EXERCISE daily. And, it is our Civic Duty to encourage our Fellow Chicagoans to do what will help them live long and prosperous lives! Make them WALK— every day! ( Too bad Chicago is perfectly flat; I would prefer they had to walk up and down steep, winding roads!)

It's not ignorant, it's part of the narrative which is meant to be repeated endlessly through various outlets as an attack on what we call civilization. Nobody in those neighborhoods is starving, nor are they prohibited from hopping the subway to a library, or reading books off the internet. Most books actually worth reading are off copyright and can be read for free. Nobody, including Foxx, believes that the typical carjacker is doing it to express their frustration with not being able to read Aristotle's Collected Works in hardcover instead of on their phone. The point is to me The Narrative into Required Thinking.
Speaking of libraries, when some rioters in (Minneapolis? SomeOtherBLMFunZone?) were arrested after attempting to fire-bomb a library, one of them turned out to be a local city councilcreature. "Somehow" the charges were dismissed.
Libraries are not curiosities. Since antiquity, they've been part of the dividing line between civilizations and nomadic primitive tribes (or Mongol hordes). When an elected official has both the desire to attack their own city's library and is allowed to get away with that, we've reached a moment where not just the usual skells but the some of the influencers are working to Burn It All To Ash.

Using these standards rural America should be a blood bath. Somehow in those areas low income, low education (by the world's standards anyhow) people live together in peace without libraries and even though the only stores are a Casey's and maybe a Dollar General. There must be something different about these areas. If only someone somewhere could find the difference, the one factor that is an indicator of an area's crime rate. We know it isn't income, distance to fresh food, distance to health care, education or libraries.
