This Ben Bradley guy is starting to grow on us:
- A Chicago Teachers Union leader is facing criticism for vacationing in the Caribbean while at the same time claiming it’s unsafe for teachers to return to the classroom.
Sarah Chambers is on the union’s executive board and is an area vice president.
As recently as Thursday, she tweeted to rally special education teachers not to return to work Monday because it’s unsafe.
Just a few hours earlier, Chambers posted a picture on Instagram that appears to show her pool side in Puerto Rico and talking about going to Old San Juan for seafood.
Chambers was part of that group of commie CTU members who went to commie Venezuela, praising that commie shithole and their school policies, ignoring the fact that something like 20% of the population had fled the starvation conditions.
She is also the rarest of the rare - a CTU teacher who actually got fired:
In 2017, the school district fired her for, as reported by WTTW,
“leaving her own classroom to barge into classrooms of other teachers and issue her own instructions to students, interfering with statewide tests, and participating in a scheme to remove and transport students without any chaperone who had cleared criminal background checks, without alerting school officials which students would be missing from class and which students were unaccounted for….”
However, she claimed she was fired in retaliation for other matters and the CTU got her reinstated
Truly a Karen of the highest order, a dyed-in-the-wool commie, and someone who should be at the very top of a list of people Groot should be firing on 05 January 2021 for subverting the opening of schools.
But whatever balls Groot has are owned by the CTU. In fact, we heard Sarah4Justice took Groot's balls to Puerto Rico to get them some sun.

This might sound morbid, but since my parents are 70 years old, I could only have 5-10 Christmases left (my parents have health issues). And we aren’t seeing them this year.

Who is terrified that when we return in January, tons of students will tell us they lost a family member
I think if SCC readers with CPS-student children kept diligent written notes, and actually filed written complaints, perhaps with attorney's letter for serious matters, then these incompetent teachers would get disciplined and eventually dismissed when sufficient complaints accumulate. Grumbling by parents is useless. Verbal complaints to principal are ineffective. Discussions with teachers often can cause hurt feelings and worsening conditions for your child. Most effective is retaining a special-education-focused attorney to organize and submit your official complaint. Lawyer letter to administration warrants attention and response. Retaining attorney causes issue to receive some real attention, and hopefully some genuine productive change, whether in student reassignment and/or teacher disciplinary action.
We did so, and it was the most effective $800 spent towards that kid's public elementary school education. We finally received appropriate attention to our concerns, and pertinent teacher received disciplinary letter and school adminstrator apologized for not attending to matter sooner and more effectively. Bad teachers warrant formal complaints, and disciplinary letters in their files. Teachers aren't fired if parents don't protest via formal notice, and sadly lawyers are needed to get it done.

Sarah loves attention. We can only imagine that she used to cut herself and leave suicide notes all over her home and classrooms as an adolescent (which she actually appears to still be). Imagine that weirdo kid grabbing mommy’s makeup, a pound of flour and some gauze to play mummification in the basement...Pretty sure those techniques are what she used for her pictures on the Covid Blog.
She has a horrible reputation with fellow teachers and staff. Well, that is...outside of the cult that is the “elected” leadership of the union. If it weren’t for her fellow cultists at the upper ranks of the CTU ladder, she wouldn’t have been hired again after the crap she pulled at Saucedo.
Finally, she’s very involved politically. Along with other CTU board members, she has given plenty of dollars to Chicago’s “socialist” alderman...the one who want to defund the police. You can see her activity on Illinois Sunshine. Question is, as a broke teacher, where is that money she and the inner circle come from to help fund their candidates? Could CTU be funneling money to their insiders to give their candidates because they had already reached their caps?

Kid's abilities to quickly learn decreases with age. they'll never get that lost classroom time back. However given what the woke teachers are spreading that may be a good thing!
Paid top scale and still the children are not getting educated. If paid on results they would owe money instead of getting paid. The entire membership of CTU would be best served by resigning for their collective failure.

Then lets move onto Springfield and the democratic legislature that gladly takes money from the CTU and plenty of it. If I’m not mistaken, her trip to Venezuela was taken with 2 or 3 charter school teachers. Don’t assume that because your kid is in a charter school or a Catholic school that they are safe from these types or safe from indoctrination. Loyola U is teeming with plenty of her kind now. There's always Indiana or Wisconsin. Texas will be the next democratic state. With tech companies moving there they will be bringing liberal ways. Texas already has property taxes rivaling Illinois. I am hearing by 2028, Texas will go democrat.

A very distinct possibility. This is already happening to Arizona, Nevada and Georgia. Liberals escaping high taxes and crime are moving from California, NY, NJ, Illinois and infecting former red states. Funny, I don't see any progressives moving into Baltimore or St. Louis

Fire her ? For what, for doing what so many other public school teachers are doing? Do you think Sarah is the only teacher that is or has handled their remote learning while on vacation, out of state or out of the country? Lightfoot and the school board do not have the guts to rile up the teacher's union. The only union the progressives want to bust is the FOP.
Her ex-principal at Saucedo pulled every string to get this lady fired. Principal pretended in front of faculty and community that it was out of her hands, but it wasn’t. Now I see why.

They didn't say they should fire just her. Fuck any teacher who refuses to do their job, using the excuse of how unsafe it is to leave their homes, while they're also vacationing across the globe. It's complete hypocrisy and nonsense. We all know groot won't do the right thing or hold them accountable. We all know she will cave at even the slightest hint of a strike. But she SHOULD fire every one of them.
Seems like this prolonged shutdown is the master plan for giving future Chicago ‘workers’ copies of all promotional exams. The exempts will state that a generation of ‘children’s’ had their learning ability stunted by the pandemic, regressed in their cognitive skills and must certified stupid. Therefore, this generation can’t read, write, think or fill in a ScanTron correctly (mostly because of ‘racist’ teachers who refused to return to the classroom and teach these brilliant minds), we must from this point onward given all of these applicants a higher score and answers to all promotional tests.

The teachers are fighting for the KIDS, if you believe that your are deceived! Their are children that depend on that building we call a school for a warm place to be, a place to get two meals, a sanctuary from the hell hole they live in. You being that their homes which at times are colder then outside!!!! But this f-ging teachers will always claim they fight for the children, bullish-t!!! I hope the right people are will read this. Have the teachers teach from the classroom even if the kids aren’t there!!! Have the teachers work a full day.
