- required to read
- be cognizant of
- abide by upon pain of termination
By the way, it's 216 pages of new, amended, corrected orders.
Now get out on the street and get Brownie some Blue Cards. Hopefully, you won't do anything that was covered in those 216 pages that will get you fired.

we have to pass it to see whats in it. should have made it 2000 pages to make sure nobody will read it. trick bag follies.

Thank you! I’ve been saying this for about a year now. Each month you are responsible for 75-100 pages of new stuff. And you have bosses actually telling you to “just check marked read”. Somehow though we are responsible for everything contained inside? Bullshit

You're better off to go to medical school as there is less reading, you will be safer, you will make more money. Reading orders can put you in a catatonic state. I used to read the orders for promotional exams and one night my spouse found me in a stupor on the floor. Then I found out you don’t need to read the orders to pass a promotional exam.
I sure do miss the contact cards. Those were great. Easy. Made you look good for throwing hands on people.

New use of force orders too, read carefully. Lots of changes, must provide medical aid, duty to intervene is physical now, not just verbal.
Just wait until the 8 hour e-learning comes out regarding sexual crap. You will sit there like good boys and girls for an 8 hour block in front of a computer for a tour of duty. Bring plenty of popcorn and beverages.

Yes, but the kicker with this Monthly's Directives are that those Use of Force orders go into effect in April and not in December of 2020. I'm suppose to remember that were still operating under the old but pollute my mind now with the new. Your going to get someone hurt.
it’s bad your your health to read that much on a computer in one sitting. Everyone should print the elearning in the district just to stay healthy.
That might be something the captains could do. Travel around the city and read the new orders at roll calls. I for one would be impressed.
The CST unit is making 500 traffic stops a day. No one in the media is asking about profiling in that unit?? How many citations are issued by them?? My guess is not many. So what’s the point of all those stops?? ACLU?? Consent monitor?? All of those stops surly isn’t bringing crime down so again what is the point of it all???

009 is having a throwback junkyard dog party tonight. Sgt Jim T. on midnights is leaving on a 90 day detail! He will be missed. Anyone who doesn’t see the writing on the wall after Georgia last night isn’t paying attention. The same elements that terrorized major Democratic cities last year will now have the full support of our Federal Government. Medical aid as trained and comfortable: when in doubt, call a bus. Intervening has always been applicable if verbal 'knock it off' doesn't work
Remember if you get fired for not doing your job
is better than going to jail for doing it.
