Hmmmmmmm

A reader pointed out this story:

  • The Food and Drug Administration is alerting pet owners about high levels of aflatoxin in some pet foods after 28 dogs reportedly died and eight others were sickened.

The food containing the toxin has been identified as certain Sportmix products manufactured by Midwestern Pet Foods. The products were voluntarily recalled by the company on Wednesday.

The FDA and the Missouri Department of Agriculture are working with the manufacturer to determine whether more products contain high levels of the toxin.

We like dogs. Hooray that the FDA took this step.

But as the reader pointed out:

  • The [FDA] does not recall a product that kills 520,000 Americans a year and over seven million worldwide. Last I checked in about one year we had about 1.8 million deaths worldwide on something we can't control, and with cigarettes over 7 million deaths with something we can control. If the fda and our liebrals cared so much about saving lives why aren't they putting the tobacco industry on lockdown instead of us humans, if groot an jb putz actually care about saving lives this would be their next undertaking.

We imagine it might have something to do with money?

But that's crazy talk. What politician is more concerned about dollars than human lives?

The aflatoxin was from a mold that grow on certain grains. Dogs and cats don't eat grains in nature. They are carnivores! They eat meat! I saw a commercial featuring a woman with a plate of vegan food. The voice over says "you eat a balanced diet, so should your pet". The pet food companies put scrap from grain and vegetable processing as filler in the dog and cat foods. This is not healthy for the pets, it is just to save money. If we don't vote them out next time, AOC and her friends will try to outlaw meat altogether, and will probably start with pet foods.

Is this another ChiCom poisoning upon the USA? The Chicoms put melamine in dog food and killed thousands of pets 20 years ago.

Follow the money. Taxes on cigarettes and tobacco products are a dependable state income source.

That is also why the state legalized weed despite a great number of health and social questions regarding its use.

It’s a bit different, but I recall the state resisting casino and sports gaming until they got their cut. Suddenly it wasn’t “anti family” and didn’t
Take needed income away from the “most vulnerable”.

Like any whore, the state’s “morality” depends on getting their slice of the pie.

FULL & FU FAT ASS I hope you read this daily and see the contempt the people have for you.

To the idiot who posted "
If people wanna smoke, let em. Stop being a crybaby" the statement was just to point out the hypocrisy of the fda and the left and how a certain virus is only being used as a political tool, otherwise our fearless and fantastic leaders would already shut down tobacco plants if they actually cared about saving lives.

I am 70 years old and never smoked a cigarette in my life. I enjoy watching you neurotic weaklings destroy your health.
Now, for you alcoholics, I would offer, keep destroying your brain. Alcoholism is a disease that tells you you don't have a problem, until you are the last one to know.

I'll be watching and laughing (down my sleeve).

hey scc, also before the virus started how many of our hospital beds are taken up by patients who have cigarette related illnesses, whether it is lung, heart, circulatory, or central nervous system problems, cigarettes destroy the entire body, so if we have a strain on our hospitals and hospital beds, if we would eliminate cigarettes, all of those beds would be free for patients coming in with the virus, you are right its all about money. Even this virus has turned into a money grab with masks, gloves, tests and everything thing else follow the money, and it's going right back into the hands of those who pretend it to Lead us

Here's the thing about smoking, you can sicken those who never smoked.
I grew up in a home where mom smoked like a chimney.
Bars, clubs, cars, restaurants, etc, everyone smoked.
I went into the PD, many smoked especially in offices and the rmps.
Then one day decades later I peed blood.
Six months later I peed blood again.
Time to visit the Urologist.
All along you're microscopically peeing blood.
Bladder Cancer.
The doctor said the #1 cause is cigarette smoke.
But I never smoked...oh well.
Cigarettes should be outlawed.

Read the dog food labels, lots of byproduct comes from foreign sources. Globally sourced = We send them quality controlled corn and wheat, they send us tainted cow parts and fillers.

Although the toxin appears to be mold related, sanitation and storage along with government factory shutdowns may have led to the contamination, and then there’s the disease spreading rodents likely infesting the silos. When factories and plants can’t keep running due to Communist lockdowns, shit’gonna happen. A sharp lawyer should look into operations.

As for going after tobacco...forget about it. Not as lucrative as decades ago when it came to lobbyists and donor money coming in, then the health hazard lawsuits came, what’s left is fundamental to tax revenues...and jobs. China is a big importer too.

Few years from now folks will be dropping like flies from all the tainted growth hormones found in “organic” legal weed and a whole new era lawsuits, disclaimers, advisories and regulations. I think Vrydolyac will be out of jail again by then.

"putting the tobacco industry on lockdown"

Things a commie would say. People should be free to smoke or not smoke. What's next? Ban all cars because of accidents and deaths. Ban certain foods because some "doctor" says they are bad for you (then in 20 years say it is actually good for you). Ban going outside because you might catch a cold virus.

F the banning commies!

banning alchohol failed and built organized crime.same with gambling. banning dope brought us cartels and the taliban. banning prostitution brought us human trafficing. so now our enlightened betters are making everything legal and getting their 40 % cut and maybe another 10% for the big guy. highly doubt they are going to legalize heroin and cocaine and ban tobacco during the new world order. not like i have any solutions, thats why our leaders get the big money hahaha. i would think people with strong family units, with education starting at home would be the only way to keep people off the road to destruction. EVERYONE knows all this stuff is bad for you but ghetto peer pressure and billions in ads helps people start self medicating. my favorite example is the pot hysteria. people have been smoking weed for thousands of years. to get high, period. now that its legal, its like the old traveling snake oil salesman, ads and stories everywhere that weed cures everything and anything and will make johnny a strong boy like the old milk commercials. people would sell dogshit if they could make a buck off it. be a clear thinker, do your research, and dont follow the crowd down the rabbit hole. The answer is simple. Tobacc products generate billions in taxes. It also keeps certain politicians, their family and buddies rolling in dough. Could you imagine the doctors and hospitals that would be out of business. The fraud is so huge, no one would touch it with a ten foot pole.
It’s a sickening thought.

You're just not informed and never dealt with it.
81,000 total cases of BC last year in the USA.
62,000 in men, it's the fourth most common cancer in men.
Cigarette smoke is the #1 cause.
Go to the ACS website.

You might never visually see blood.
You're lucky if you do, you can catch it early.
But if you see blood and then don't you think whatever it was went away but it didn't.
It's called microscopic hematuria.
Only detectable on a urinalysis stick test.
Most of the time, it'll be an infection or a stone.
But a small percent is BC.
Read up on it and spare us the wizeazz comments.
This is why men over 55 should see a URO once a year.
My doctor and his staff have done a great job.
Cigarettes should be outlawed.

people keep away from these private label dog foods. in the time i have been watching pet food recalls , it seems that these private labels have the most recalls. i see very little recalls from the main pet food guys. purina and the like. also i don't think we should be feeding our pets pet food. the quality standards are lower then for people food. that being said , my pup gets a little bit of kibble each day. her main dinner is all people food. (turkey slices and a dollop of pumpkin and a dollop of plain yogurt.) as far a cigs concerned , they generate a lot of money. money talks bullshit walks. keep away from those goddamn things.

RE: Aflatoxin. Grain in storage is usually dried with propane fueled heaters. I read that most propane is stored in Kansas caves/mines. Local storage is very expensive. Propane trucks are expensive and only used a few times a year. There is no incentive to invest in storage or over-the-road transport that can be made irrelevant by pipeline improvements. The pipelines are not being improved due to fears of climate changes due to CO(2) releases from burning more propane. So, this time, only dogs died from the mold/fungus that grows on damp grain. Next time.......

Sort of Biblical since damp grain was probably the source of the deaths of Egypt's First Born (who got an extra ration of food & grain and presumably toxins).

But Fido died for a good Scam. This will certainly get "better" if Joe Demento gets into the White House basement (and he can get even with that Trumpist dog that "broke" his foot ).
