Nice to know the hiring background checks are still the best in the world:
- The Chicago Police Department acknowledged an internal investigation
Thursday into allegations that four officers assigned to a West Side
patrol district engaged in sexual relationships with migrants who were
living in a police station.
The department said in an email late Thursday that the bureau of internal affairs, as well as the Civilian Office of Police Accountability, had opened an investigation, but a department spokesperson did not address questions about when the investigation began or if any officers were stripped of their police powers.
There are alleged assholes and perverts in every walk of life, from priests and teachers, all the way down to presidents. We just wish that the background checks actually held some weight and banned any number of creeps, crooks, alcoholics and dope fiends from this job.
Hey, here's a thought! Call us crazy, but if you remove the temptation, you deny the opportunity for a crime to occur, right? Isn't that like part of the CAPS Crime Triangle? We're pretty sure it was on a promotional exam back in the Stone Age.
Get the migrants out of police stations.

Dispatcher calls 63 team for an image of a firearm in T5. Shortly after their Sgt informs dispatch “ we can’t take that arrest, in case we get called out so assign it to a terminal unit but we can help”.
When was the last time any tactical team was removed from unit 050? (Even during the riots they stayed put). So they can “help” with the gun arrest but can’t actually take it.
Why can the 62 team process gun arrests?
Not sure what’s more pathetic … the fact they never take weapons violations or that the 3rd watch Sgt who was probably with him said nothing.
There’s always been a lot of freaks in the PD. Lot of guys who would stick it to anywhere. This is lowest of the low. Talking about serving and protecting. What else could you do to make the profession look like low life?

Absolutely agree migrants have to go from every district station, should of never been there. These allegations are serious but if something happened with any of the migrants and they are adults is that a crime or just stupid? However if it’s true that a minor is pregnant and DNA to back it up that a CPD employee is responsible, said employee looks like they will be an ex employee with legal problems, just saying
If both are adults and nothing happened in the station. Say everything was off duty they should be fine. But rumors are that the migrant was a minor allegedly?

I’ll withhold judgement for now; MSM and the anti-LE local ghetto opportunists already have these guys convicted based on the word of people who are in this country illegally. Once again, the police are second class citizens who are guilty until proven innocent and I’m tired of it.

If CPD Bureau of Internal Affairs is investigating anything I have no confidence in the investigation. They operate as they don’t want to get to the Hart of anything. They will never provide proof that anything happened if they believe the victim is trying to be made whole by invoking a lawsuit. For them it is never about the truth. It’s all about the outcome that their bosses want. I have nothing but contempt for them. It is not about right and wrong, It’s all about what the Bosses want. Never seek help from them if you are a victim, get a private attorney and seek legal remedies outside the Chicago Police Department.

I can't help but laugh at how things that weren't such a big deal back in my day, are now suddenly frowned upon like it's the 'Crime of the Century,' what these Go Getters did in 010...supposedly, It's not that big of a deal.
Christ, just 17 years years ago I got myself into a bit of a pickle when I found an immigrant hanging out in the old 23rd District lobby. He was of age, and from Finland! I paid the Finnish boy a lofty 20 dollars as well as a free ticket to the 23rd District Christmas Party. His only chore was to have sex with a CPD canine named 'Dime Bag,' that I had borrowed from his K-9 master whom was in Callback. My main goal was to have the two have sex together and hopefully form a K-9 Alpha Partner. Normal humans are content to settle for a dog as 'Man's Best Friend,' while I on the other hand, designated my life to making a hybrid of man and German Shepherd, creating 'Man's Best Partner.'
In the end, my laboratory was all set up in my parent's basement,with home video cameras set up to film the breeding so that future generations could learn how it's done.
Unfortunately, ICE swooped in before the sexual interaction between the Finnish Boy and K-9 dawg could take place. You are spot on regarding the backgrounds. As far as removing the temptation, seems to me that cops are exposed to temptations every minute they are on the job. Are cops still exposed every day to hookers, money, bribes, drugs, all there for the taking? The cops involved should be fired.
On another note, glad you are back. This is the one place where cops both active and retired can express their thoughts. An awful amount of work for you, so thanks.

It is sad, and it does bring shame on the great men and women in Blue. But virtually all of the force does an outstanding job protecting this city and the people of Chicage.

I think we will be less than surprised when the names are released. The common theme in the comments will be how we all saw it coming based on prior bad decisions of the coppers. This piece of crap city decides in will not enforce federal immigration laws…or enforce most laws for that matter. It becomes a sanctuary city for illegals. Illegals start pouring in and the city has no plan whatsoever to house these people. So they start camping out in police stations. Inhumane and unsanitary…putting our officers at risk for disease and sickness. And not that long ago wanted to put officers in no pay status for refusing to get a vaccine? Because the city has become a shithole…they implement RDO’s canceled, 12 hours shifts, last minute tour extensions and tier deployment…thereby putting our officers under a lot of pressure. No personal or family time.
This city has created conditions for our officers to fail. The politicians are responsible for the blood shed in the streets and everything that comes with it.

Very well said the behavior of that team is sickening. It’s a slap in the face when they hide in their office and watch the Cubs game or wheel of fortune while the officers in the terminals can sometimes barely get to lunch without being called back.

So well said. Speaks volumes how in the last 15, 20 years the people who managed to slip through the cracks and come on the job like to see coworkers get jammed up. Most of these ‘TikTok Police’ are just as bad as the rats we deal with on the street. The camaraderie we once enjoyed on this job is just about DOA. And it’s by design. This needs to play out and coppers given the benefit of the doubt, not convicted over allegations. At the end of the day I hope it is discovered to be nothing more than casual sex between consenting adults. People fuck. Simple as that. Just hopefully it was not while on the clock and there’s no minor involved, no accusations of intimidation etc. Involved coppers lawyers need to insist their accusers submit to a polygraph. And nice Lt SS reference. Never heard that one, but I really couldn’t make out much of what he said with his head cocked 90°, ear glued to his shoulder between shots of Crown Royal. He was a great boss and fun to drink with.

The sergeant wants to be their buddy. They use him and he's too stupid to realize it. He is part of the problem and a terrible supervisor. that's why he's starting to make his move to try and come on second watch. But shhhh. No one's supposed to know. Maybe the Unit's most useless and self serving Sgt can take his place. But if it doesn't benefit him, he won't do it. Just ask the other 3rd watch supervisor

Noticeable increase in Dine N Dashes happening at a few popular Mexican restaurants in Bridgeport/009. One of the restaurants is going to start charging BEFORE food is delivered to your table to combat the theft. Another dramatically increased their prices to off set the losses. $21 for a three taco dinner plate now. The CVS and the gas station across from the police station getting hit with hard theft as well. All from “new arrivals” (allegedly).
Seeing is believing I drove past 009 recently. Outside area looks like a mini block party. PortO Johns, extension cords running all over the sidewalk, dozens of men of fighting age drinking and smoking garbage filling the curbside cans of Modelo stacked up locals walking their dogs go into the street to get past the crowds. Makes me wonder who fronting the bill on all of their new smart phones.
If my info is inaccurate somebody correct me. Just local neighborhood talk but it wouldn’t be a surprise.
