Cashless Bail Jumper in PA

Anyone not see this coming?

  • If we told you that a man accused of carrying $1.6 million in fentanyl in Pittsburgh didn't show up for his court date after being released on non-cash bail earlier this month, would you be surprised?

    Us neither.

But that was precisely the case in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where 27 year old Carlos Pichardo Cepeda failed the appear for court. The New Yorker "is accused of carrying hundreds of thousands of fentanyl doses at a Pittsburgh bus station," according to Triblive.com.

Pichardo Cepeda was previously handed a nonmonetary bond by a district judge and released after his arrest. This past Tuesday was his second court date that he missed, the report says. Republicans are blaming the cashless bail while Democrats are placing blame on the DA's office dragging its feet in prosecuting the case.

We're sure the stories are going to be rolling in from across Illinois in short order. CWB Blog already has a subtitle "Cashless Bail" they've used for a couple stories. We figure they'll be the only ones covering it regularly....the same way they were the only outlet covering criminals on electronic monitoring committing more robberies, shootings and homicides.

Me ? I would be asking where the Cartel buried his body? They don't care why the product got seized, but someone is going to pay for it. Cash if they can pay, or with their lives if they cannot.

Stupid and irresponsible idiots have been missing court dates for years, cash bail or no cash bail.

The part that p!sses! me off is they while they are back on the streets, they continue with their crimes so they can pay for their lawyer and their legal bills. One single criminal and how many crimes do they commit every day? Day after day, week after week, victim after victim.

No reason to resist arrest.

Just go with the flow, await your bondless bond hearing, and, when you are cut loose, scram......

The authentic career minded criminal has nothing to induce them to not scram.

Besides the time spent handcuffed, being in custody is merely a brief pause before back to the streets to continue commiting crimes.

Bizarro world would be sane compared to this......

So, the Soros prosecutors are bailing out because they know it's the part of the play where they get blamed for the mayhem.

Cashless bail is just kicking the can down the road. What will happen after the jails fill up will all the "cashless bail jumpers"? Two chances to miss a court date ("I couldn't get childcare and my aunt died, I won't miss another, I promise")?

Another topic worth investigating: How many people are sentenced with "time served" for being on electronic monitoring and don't serve any real time. The same monitoring that lets them leave their homes for 48 hours at a time.

There is an impressive, impressive even for political hacks, of blame shifting going on in that article. But my favorite is the democrat, who doesn't want to blame the judge, who blames the prosecutor for the judge's dumb decision.

The only time the news media here “got involved” is when the city was selling city stickers with gang signs attached.
The BS loans should be top news

I've heard they can't get felony approval on street robber gangs. That's why it's going non-stop.

So where are all the psychiatrist that the mayor and CPD want to put on the streets to fix crime. We don't even see gov. pricksters peacekeepers anymore. Where did they go?

Gone like a fraudulent PPP check or FEMA fraud flood loan/grant. Gone like a multi-million dollar no bid contract to party friendly's

So released in no bail and then arrested with a no bail crime of failure to appear and then don't show in court again and get another no bail charge of failure to appear. Sounds like the endless circle of justice in Illinois.
