As a police officer who wants to help people, it’s difficult to watch senseless violence continue unabated, but we shouldn’t forget how we arrived at this new normal. When students from the U of C, DePaul and Loyola were victims, and the investigation resulted in the identification and arrest of the bad guys, nine times out of ten, the victim refused to prosecute because they didn't want to put another black man in jail. What we obviously need is for reparations from the entire black/brown community to all the white victims of crime. Not only have these poor victims been deprived of their property, but also their human dignity. The psychological damage done will never be fully understood, and this has gone on for generations. How much more could our city and country have achieved if not for these horrible and degrading attacks. These racist, bigoted criminals are clearly and intentionally targeting white victims and depriving them of the basic human rite to live, work, and go to school in safety. The black and brown communities know who these criminals are and won't work with the police to have them arrested. So, they are complicit in these crimes. The only way to start the healing is for every man, woman, and child of color to pony up a huge amount of money and a massive check to be given to every white victim of crime or their descendants down to the fifth generation. I have a friend who is a professor at DePaul. Said some of students act like they are in a Chicago Public School. They are on cellphones or talk over the instructor. Some of them will challenge you and if you say you will report them they say go ahead as they know the administration will not back the staff. The break down of our society!

If you catch some young thug, what will happen in court? nothing. Exchange gunfire with them? Go directly to jail, do not pass go. The days of the hunter police are long gone.
Went to Loyola, then later worked that area. The predators used to come on the electric rollercoaster because it was a place where the could find their CSA victims and then escape via the same. I always wondered how many more victims there were because they were ashamed to report it.
Worked in 021. Had a victim from Hyde Park who was a PhD candidate in Physics with a concentration in Thrust Applications. A rocket scientist. The U of Chicago post graduate student couldn’t grasp the fact that he had been robbed at gunpoint by two teenagers.

I would also venture a guess that nearly 100% of the staff at these schools are super progressive woke democrats. Probably many socialists too but thats the same as being a democrat. Democrats are very lucky to have idiots that aren’t free thinkers and only follow.
