Widespread Fraud
So the CPS Inspector General found some fraud.....a lot of fraud actually:
A top Chicago Public Schools official resigned after the school system’s inspector general found she inflated her income to increase the amount of her COVID-19 relief loan on a side business she had never reported to CPS.
Crystal Cooper, who as head of school operations reported directly to CEO Pedro Martinez, was the highest-ranking of 14 CPS staffers to leave their jobs as a result of Inspector General Will Fletcher’s investigation of federal Paycheck Protection Program loans they got.
In a report Wednesday outlining his findings, Fletcher did not name names, but the Chicago Sun-Times confirmed Cooper is the “central office administrator” who was found to have inflated her income for a side business she had never reported to CPS to get a PPP loan of $15,625.
This isn't a one-off fraud:
- ....Fletcher wrote in the 11-page report outlining his findings regarding 780 CPS employees confirmed to have gotten PPP loans. All but one made an annual CPS salary of at least $100,000. Cooper’s CPS pay was $220,000, records show.
Seven-hundred-eighty offenders? Seems like CPS isn't really in the education business any more (if they ever were).
And it isn't only CPS it seems:
- The clerk of the circuit court of Cook County’s office has uncovered the largest cache of PPP loan fraud among Chicago-area public bodies, ousting dozens of employees who didn’t qualify for loans they applied for. There are ongoing investigations by officials with other government agencies, including the Chicago Police Department, the Cook County courts, the Chicago Housing Authority and the Chicago Park District.
But hey, how about those command changes made by Fred Waller? Maybe the media can tie in a few PPP loans we mentioned months ago? We think they got two blue shirts so far.....leaving aside the entire exempt structure running one-person security "companies."

There was a CPS administration office on the corner of 115th and Western and you should see the bling that was parked in that lot. Talking Maseratis, Range Rivers, not saying its wrong but that is the Chicago Way and graft and corruption have been very difficult to root out at CPS. The numbers are being kept down on purpose by the media. The amount of stealing that went on during COVID will be in the billions nationally, and multi millions here. I am sure the IRS will eventually find the time to claw back the money. Guess how much fat and "middle management" is at CPS? If someone was to take a brutally honest look at manpower you can cut so much excess fat it would save millions. All those huge astronomical salaries and not one of them was delivering instruction to kids in a classroom.
So all of these thieving souls jumped the gun and probably mistook Mayor BLM Johnson’s allies, who released a report two days after he was inaugurated, calling for “first we get the money” which called for more taxing which would self destruct the city. But wouldn't that, “first we get the money” be a fitting new motto for the City of Chicago whether they are taxing you to death or stealing the taxpayers money like these people.
In the 1830s the City adopted the Latin motto, “urbs in horto”, which meant city in a garden. The late Chicago newspaper columnist Mike Royko said the City should use, “ubi est mea”, which means where’s mine? It was a reference to the culture of Chicago politics and corruption in which politicians and political insiders are aways looking for their cut of the action.
I propose “primo nos accipere the pecunia”, “first we get the money” to be added to our City mottos in recognizing those thieves who have stolen the taxpayer’s money and those who plan to take more from us.
When the federal hog trough opens up, the hogs will feed with no restraint.
Why are they not in a federal prison? The January 6th people are in dank cell’s for doing nothing these federally thieves should be doing time! God willing a Republican takes the presidency they will be tried and put away! This city county state a cesspool of corruption!

The loan, which were forgiven, do not depend on the personal fortunes of the company owners nor of any outside income the owner might have, such as a salary from another employer or a pension. I know this looks bad ethically, but a CPS employee who is making $100,000 still has to keep their company going and pay their employees. If you have an S corporation and you run the company by yourself, legally, you are an employee and you must pay yourself a reasonable salary. The problem lies in the fact that many people lied on their applications, made up companies and titles and work done to get the loans . The banks or the government never verified any of the information on the loan application, I understand that many of the loan applications coming out of Chicago claimed the company owners were farmers.
PPP Fraud is a federal crime, usually investigated by IRS Criminal Investigation and DOJ. With a certain party in control of the federal and state government, expect these 800 or more criminal bastards who stole from the American people to go unpunished.
