Scandal Revealed
How long ago was it that the Sun Times ran a hit piece on the questionable pasts of a whole bunch of exempt appointees, expressing shock-and-dismay at their disciplinary histories, the alleged harassment charges, the thirty-plus not sustained CR numbers, the hundreds of thousands in judgements against them?
Yesterday? Gee, we thought it was longer.
But while that story was hidden away, waiting for the perfect opportunity to spring it upon the public, this one brewed in the background:
City Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin used government workers to plan her daughter’s birthday party and be her personal bodyguard while she also pressured public employees to hold events benefiting political allies and repeatedly misused taxpayer resources, two former top aides alleged in a recently released letter the city fought for years to keep confidential.
The blistering four-page letter, written in December 2020 by the attorney for the two employees Conyears-Ervin fired, also alleged the treasurer, who oversees city investments, tried to force BMO Harris — one of the banks where city money is deposited — to issue a mortgage tied to the building that houses the aldermanic office for Conyears-Ervin’s husband, Ald. Jason Ervin, 28th.
The Tribune had to sue for years to get the actual documentation and Groot fought every step of the way because the Ervin's were her allies-of-convenience. BJ is seeking to shake up the old order (and establish his own order), so he finally released it and it's everything you think it is, with our tax dollars being used to enrich the connected.
We're thinking Mrs. Crooked Treasurer is being told, none-too-subtly by the way, not to run for Danny Davis' s congressional seat. Anyone know why the shady Maywood properties aren't financing things?

Elections matter.
Except where they don't.
Changing the faces of assholes changes nothing.
Non assholes are never allowed to be on the ballot, let alone elected.
That is what has become of 'our democracy'.
Government of the people, by the people and for the people requires the people to not be assholes.
The assholes know that:
They don't have to fool some of the people all of the time.
Nor all of the people some of the time.
Nor all of the people all of the time.
Just enough people at election time.
And when that ain't enough, fabricate the people, conjured from the dead, the non existent, the no longer here, etc., any name will do, any address, any way to increase the ballot counts.
This has been true for a long, long, long time.
This is now more visible then it ever has been.
Trump made them expose themselves.

Another criminal exposed surprisingly the democratic controlled media is publishing this? But the agenda is on the democrats docket, hmm why isn’t this girl on the federal docket and removed from office?
Good old Groot. She lands at Harvard as a champion of the people during some bull shit pandemic and she is part of a criminal cover up. Some might call this act obstructing justice. I hope this national media coverage and Harvard is forced to fire her.

Corruption? Chicago? Cook County? Illinois? Just in two postings on SCC massive corrupt public officials and employees. An Illinois Representative, a Republican, has proposed some legislation. Democrats will no doubt shuttle the proposal into some corner where it will die. Nobody is going to interrupt the cash flow into the politicians pockets.

McCombie has introduced legislation that would end the practice of allowing criminally accused elected officials of using campaign funds for a criminal defense. Madigan has used at least $8.5 million of campaign funds so far to pay the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman in his criminal defense.
Last May, former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn delivered letters to Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Senate President Don Harmon, D-Oak Park, and House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch, D-Hillside, that called for a special session to address corruption in Illinois government, but it never materialized.

.. Yeah, and we got two cracks at not electing her as it went to a runoff.
...In 2023, nobody even ran against her, so she walked away with it.. just like she walks away with our tax-payer dollars every day.. to shop for her groceries, birthday parties, church picnics and so on. .. and those are the things we hear about. She was campaigning in the general election for Johnson. She straight up came out with blacks have to stick together. She didn't even attempt to disguise her racism. Never voting for her again. Period.
