Lately, if you want actual medical news, you have to search outside of the US:
A new and disturbing analysis reveals that excess deaths from cardiovascular diseases have jumped in the UK over the past several years.
Using official government data for deaths in England and Wales between 2010 and 2022, former BlackRock portfolio manager Ed Dowd and his partners at Phinance Technologies found that excess death rates from cardiovascular diseases were up 13% in 2020, 30% in 2021, and 44% in 2022, which "point to a worrying picture of an even greater acceleration in coming years of deaths & disabilities."
You don't have to be a black helicopter conspiracy nut to see that numbers like these deserve - AT THE VERY LEAST - rigorous scientific evaluation so that anyone who took the vaccine, voluntarily or under duress, can be fully informed. Finally.

Speaking of deaths. Please do not lift the residency requirement. Mt Greenwood would be lost within 6 months. If you live up North you’d only get half of what you paid for your home. Think about it, the 575,000 dollar beat up bungalow in Edison Park you bought isn’t worth anything if the city workers can live elsewhere. If they lift residency for us they’d have to do it for everyone. Be careful what you wish for guys.
I know this is off topic but I wanted to ask what people are hearing about the insurance for the guys getting ready to retire. I’ve heard plenty of rumors and I’m not sure what to believe. I heard they want to change it to 57 1/2 years old instead of 55. I also heard that they want to give the insurance to us if you have 29 and day in but not 55. Also heard talk about it being 50 but making it 5 percent instead of the current 3 1/2 percent. What’s true guys?
What is shocking to me about this whole vaccine debacle is that coppers who are trained BS detectors and they still rolled up their sleeves and took this shot, willingly. I held out, got tested 2x a week, had my religious exemption denied 3x bc of “no signature” or needed “more information” until it finally got approved. Don’t know if I never bothered to pay attention in the past but I have seen so many officers I personally know, who are in relatively young and in decent shape get cancer. I truly believe that the vaccine was a slow-kill bioweapon meant to depopulate. If anyone can’t see that then there’s no helping you. Stop getting boosted and wearing a mask, especially outdoors- they don’t work! You look beta and ridiculous!

It sort of makes sense, especially given the strains that Brexit put on the system (i.e., health care worker shortages), but I suppose the heart foundation could be part of the conspiracy too.
It’s the vaccine. How often did you hear about athletes or other people in their prime dying suddenly with little explanation before 2020? A handful of guys I work with have been diagnosed with enlarged hearts. Guys in good shape with no previous heart issues. One of their doctors had the balls to tell them it was likely the vaccine.
Anyone who got the jab against their will under threat of losing their job (like myself and numerous others) should be able to sue and get a big settlement.

However, we find an increase in cardiac death in women after a first dose of non mRNA vaccines. Unfortunately, probably the most likely truth is moving retiree medical insurance age to 57. The city moved the retiree medical insurance age from age 60 to 55 because CPD had more older officers on the job than younger officers. All of the older officers came on with only a high school diploma. The city believed that the older officers were keeping the department from advancing their goals and believed that it would need younger educated officers to establish their goals. Hence the reason for lowering the age. It’s also cheaper for the city to employ younger officers and the city believes they will get more production out of a younger officer.The city doesn’t like paying for retirees medical insurance until Medicare. The city can’t afford for anymore officers to retire; therefore the city is not going to offer anything good for us that isn’t going to benefit them first. They have never done anything that benefits us… nobody wants to do this job, so isn’t like they have 30,000 people lined up to take the test.
Our only saving grace may be if they pass (Expanding health care options for early retirees act) AKA the Medicare buy-In option for first responders 50-64 years of age who are separated from service due to retirement or disability, this provides first responders who retire at age 50 with at least 20 years of service ability to start their Medicare coverage at retirement instead of waiting until age 65.

Yes!!! Why hasn’t this happened yet??? FOP??? Lightfoot forced me into retirement against my will. Myself and many many others lost out on benefits because of this. Absolute insanity what these dictators did. Lying saying “your protecting others” by getting the ineffective worthless shot. I had Covid twice and was just fine but they didn’t care. Still said I had to get it or be fired. We all saw the entire world get vaccinated and still got Covid and spread it. But they still forced it. They need to be held accountable for what they did to us.

We are all held captive by insurance. But why the hell hasn’t FOP ever started our own plan??? That way cops can free themselves from this prison sentence at age 50. I’ve heard JCat talk about it but then again he’s talked about residency during his first campaign and COLA. All of which never happen. All talk from him.

You are correct residency has been talked about over 40+ years get used to it boys and girls residency will never happen live here or get another job, but then again if you leave you will be crawling back like the 175 that left. When you leave and find out your accountable it changes things and all the extra cash nice here great pay little work. Why are all the detectives sitting around waiting for jobs like a McDonald employee? Answer many of them are qualified to be that!

All English residents are automatically entitled to free public health care through the National Health Service. Free is great, but with that comes a few issues like, extraordinary ( measures to preserve life are not as readily taken, and the other. Get in line.
I’m sure scarfing down the full English breakfasts, rising obesity and cancer rates, ridiculous amounts of time spent staring at a screen instead of exercising, and the delays in medical care for even life-threatening emergencies had nothing to do with the rise in cardiovascular deaths. /s

Local small town bar stayed open with the, wink wink, of the city officials during the Covid shutdown. The small town mayor told bar owners that they had to make a living and could stay open but not advertise same. Go there and the place was jammed. No masks, everybody having a good time. Throw do a couple of pints down with friends and enjoy life. No shots, no Covid. Guess I'm just lucky.

I understand why people want to remain anonymous, considering there is a section of this government who pushed for citizens to stay at home three weeks to “flatten the curve”, then mask up, even though they knew masks didn’t work, get a jab not knowing the effectiveness of them, were lied to and told this all came from a bat in a lab in Chy-na, and now people are starting to realize they were bamboozled into a decision that may cost them their lives, and are pissed off and want answers. Are they supposed to trust a government that tried to kill them.

As I have been bitching to my friends & family there is a reason that the FDA takes YEARS to approve a vaccine.
