Fourteen Robberies
Robbers have free rein of city streets:
- Chicago police are investigating a string of armed robberies that occurred in less than three hours on the North, West, South, and Southwest sides Sunday morning.
In each case, a black Audi G5 with Illinois license plate #BW72037 pulled up and the suspects got out and put guns against the victim's heads and demanded their personal property, police said in an alert.
In four of the incidents, the victims were beaten by the suspects, and a person was shot in one of the robberies.
The suspects were described as three Hispanic males and one Black male wearing dark-colored hoodies, black pants, and black ski masks, Chicago police said.
And this is on top of last weekend's dozen in two hours.
Unfortunately, we don't think this trend is going to slow down until citizens start shooting a few of these non-demonized criminals.
Kind words and de-escalation just don't seem to be working.

Sounds like we have a real problem with black Audi G5’s. For starters citizens should be banned from owning these vehicles and the City should sue the manufacturers of the Audi for causing all this crime.
No foot pursuits.
No vehicle pursuits.
Exactly how are these POSs going to be apprehended? Traffic stop? Street stop? During the commission of a crime, if lucky enough to on view it?
During a shootout with police?
Or maybe the ghetto entrepreneurs pick the wrong victim(s) and are introduced to a little friend, causing the POSs to be permanently late for their next birthday. We can only pray for such a happy ending to an otherwise dreadful criminal enterprise.

Every morning I wake up and go for a pre dawn morning walk, regardless of the weather. I like the cooler weatehr as it allowsme to wear a hoodie with deep pockets. In one of those pockets is my trusted hammerless 357 ready to go. One can argue that it is only 6 shots but, if it were to be shot from inside the pocket it would be an unexpected shock to the robber or robbers. Since I am retired there are 357 magnum rounds in the cylinder, not that junk the department authorized. Some will argue that 6 rounds is not enough but,I never said that was the only gun I carry.
I did not mention if I lived in the city, suburbs, a red county or red state. Just be aware of your surroundings and always carry and have extra ammo and a backup.
You never want to get your gun taken away from you in a fight so it can be used against you. So practice as though your life depends on it.
And remember, "lets do it to them before they do it to us".

You're right, but you've got to pick your battles. You can't win in every scenario, but most of the time you won't be facing more than two offenders, and most of those times once the victim starts shooting, one or both offenders tries to flee.
