Police Board Vacancies

• Are you passionate about ensuring accountability in our police force? Your opportunity to make a difference is here. The Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA) is accepting applications to fill two vacancies on the Police Board, an independent civilian body responsible for deciding disciplinary cases involving Chicago Police officers.

  The Chicago Police is a component of our city’s police accountability framework, and we’re in search of accomplished attorneys with a minimum of 10 years of practice, coupled with a proven history of community service.

Look who isn't allowed to apply:

• To maintain impartiality, applicants should not have been employed by any of the following entities in the last 5 years: Chicago Police Department, COPA, Chicago Deptpartment of Law, Chicago Mayor’s Office, or the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.

So anyone with actual experience dealing with police matters Need Not Apply....unless your experience was with the Public Defenders Office we guess.
