My wishful prediction and hope is that medical and disability abusers will be exposed and handled. Looking at the Pension Board meeting minutes every month, I see at least one new name popping up that I know. These people I recognize were on the scam from day one, were medical abusers and only wanted to work side jobs or their businesses. Now, they are requesting duty disability.
Everyone should consider that while you show up to work and expose yourself to great risks, including physical, emotional and financial, these individuals are laughing at the taxpayer and you at YOUR pension expense. They are also making it more difficult for the members who really need the medical time or need to be placed on disability.
I do understand that their are many legitimate circumstances and I know many instances where a deserving member is denied this benefit or has to jump through great hoops to gain approval. Those who scam just seem to receive everything and laugh at the rest of us.
Is the issue with the Medical Section, Pension Board or the doctors? Something needs to be changed. Abusers continue to be rewarded and the legitimate members are treated poorly on top of being injured and or ill.

Yep that's a sound prediction. I could never understand why people want to be a Uber/Lyft taxi driver. A cab driver never used to be an in demand job. Even Jim Ignatowski got a job as a cab driver. It's always been a dangerous job. And so many females do it these days, I don't understand that either. The gas, wear and tear on your car, the hassles with customers etc. These companies get rich and take no chances but the dummies driving take the chances and don't do so well considering it all.
By years end, the viability of the police pension system will be a visible major fiscal issue.
Rinse and repeat, with a third action for Brandon Johnson in front of rinse....Swallow.

With Ed Burke convicted DOJ has cover to seek indictments. They want to reduce the inevitable playing of the "race card." Most but not all of the indictments will involve black electeds.
Need to indict soon before DNC convention.
Also Mike Madigan will be found guilty. Ed Burke will get divorced, flee to the Vatican with Jussie Smollett, claim SANCTUARY and get his gay partnership with Jussie blessed by Pope Francis.
