After this one's checkered history of exam cheating, political gamesmanship and pincushion-ing, it's surprising that the media didn't notice who they were reporting on:
So is this some new policy? A number of comments opine that if the illegals turn down shelter, they should be evicted from the stations forthwith. We would agree wholeheartedly with that if it were enforced consistently across the board. Districts are places of business, not campgrounds, and never should have been used that way.
That being said, there's no way anyone downtown is going to put that on paper. And there's no way Captain Ex-Johnson would make this kind of move on her own without direction from above. Look at the disaster that has been her career even before she and her entire Internal Affairs bridal party scored Top 10 on the Lie-tenant Exam of years past. And the investigating sergeant at IAD Confidential was rewarded with....his own lie-tenant bars.
What, you think we forgot? Fenner is still hoping for a command spot, even after this SeeBS report.

Every day we see stories about the problems with the migrants. And the problems keep multiplying. We have had some cold days but not the prolonged frigid cold of January. Native Chicagoans even have trouble with that. Time in the cold takes a toll on people. If the migrants want the warm sunny climate instead of the misery here then offer them air flights back home at Chicago’s expense. Don’t wait for a bigger crisis. The Democrats created this problem and now they keep coming up with unworkable solutions to remedy it. Kind of like trying to force that square block into a round hole. The dummies that run this city should have anticipated these problems, that’s what they are getting paid to do.

Funny story.I was working a Mexican parade in 009, Fenner was the Lieutenant on scene. The road was supposed to be partially blocked to divert traffic at a wishbone by a viaduct. She lost her shit, running around in circles because the street diversion and the parade participants were just confused and they were driving around her car. She was yelling and screaming, radio in hand. She walks up to me and says "do you speak Mexican?!" I responded yes and said that I spoke some Spanish. You can't make this stuff up.
Can some Venezuelan-American out there tell me when is the big Venezuelan holiday? I need to pick my furlough for next year and avoid that holiday when the illegals will drive around with their flags, block streets until 2am and throw s*** at the police.
The reporters should be asking the migrants “why don’t you want to leave the police station for a shelter?” Is it because the illegals want a hotel, or do they not want to follow the curfews and rules of the shelter?
The second thing from the video is that the illegals are asking for work permits so they can move out. Sounds like an unreasonable demand and comes across as though the illegals are saying we won’t move out unless we get work permits. F*** them, send them all back, who the f*** do they think they are.
I think the Captain handled it well and the same standard should be applied city wide - if you don’t want to go to the shelter, get the f*** out. Police stations aren’t public housing.

Read the admin messages on the wire, I believe 29 NOV 23. It seems the city screwed up again and can’t figure out payroll since moving us from 1st & 16th. Union dues taken out from 01st check instead of payroll on 07th. Also something about taxes on the 07th check.
BTW, you can move payroll from 1st & 16th but you will NOT take 1st & 16th mentality from me! Under 1 year to go!

Actually it is policy now as of Monday. If they refused shelter they can not stay. The city put out instructions for warming centers and decompressed districts. She was right.
