NYPD Hiring
The massive shortages across the country are most easily seen on the east coast:
New York City Mayor Eric Adams was elected largely because he ran as a moderate who would be tough on crime.
Now the embattled Mayor is facing challenge after challenge, not the least of which is that his NYC Police Department is imploding, and he doesn’t even have the funds to run and hire from his own police academy due to the expenses stemming from the migrant crisis. He is slashing $4 billion from city services in order to pay for taking care of the illegal migrants who have flooded New York due to its sanctuary policies.
The losses?
- 2,500 cops have quit this year
- 10,000 have left since 2020
And of those 2,500 this year....around 1,000 left without being eligible for any sort of pension. And there aren't any solutions on the horizon.

Most blue state Democrat politicians despise the police. Most big Democrat city politicians despise the police. Many, if not most, of the citizens of big Democrat cities despise the police. These people truly believe that all cops wake up in the morning thinking about how many N words they can murder today. These people are so morally fucked they would rather imprison the police than the criminals and never miss a chance to railroad some copper who wants nothing more than to make it through a shift and go home.
It's really astonishing how there aren't more coppers in these places lined up outside the Watch Commanders office waiting to slam their badge on his desk and say "SCREW YOU GUYS....IM GOING HOME" ala Eric Cartman.
Another example that tells us the Marxist revolution is in full swing in all the Democrat cities, the Federal Government and even globally. Every day the news brings us more, I can’t believe this is happening.

Department myself. So many backstabbing assholes it's insane. I think I would trust more some of the criminals I locked up than many of the people I worked with. Every STUPIDVISOR thinks they are a gift from a higher power but from my experience they are just idiots. After 20 years I learned why people hate us. But to those honorable officers out there I wish you the best and always get back home the way you went into to work.

That’s coming to Chicago. Dudes are resigning faster than we can hire them. Numerous aren’t even leaving for other law enforcement jobs. They’re leaving for financing and other work from home jobs. 15 years ago I’d say they’re nuts. Today, I’m just jealous I’m stuck here cuz of too much time on.

The Clinton Crime Bill passed in 1994. Those 100,000 are coming up on THIRTY years, if they stuck around.
Mayor TwoGrand suit has his priorities. Normal people are not on the list.
Simple solution is to ditch the "Sanctuary City" status and deport all those illegal immigrants. But because these Democrats are political animals, their animal instincts will prevent them from making reasonable judgment.

They have already said they are cancelling the next 5 academy classes .
Chicagoans have elected the same socialist slugs for over 50 years and for that, they now have a broken, dysfunctional, crime ridden, thoroughly corrupt, tax burdening city whose elected officials have fully embraced a new foreign army in their midst. Most Libtard City in Texas, went all out on BLM booshiite and defunding. Defunding led to homeless infestation, which also led to vacancies as officers left for friendlier departments. And now the City is reaping the hobo-wind, hence openings and bonuses. And 65k isn't going to add much to the SSA and pension pot. Sometimes the grass is greener because it's over a septic tank.
