And he was hit, damn acorn has great aim
He quit because he knew he was forever that dude. Lol.
He turned his squad car into Swiss cheese
Two cops display superior training and experience as they mag dump into the car and dude inside survives . . . I need to get me one of those! Anybody know what model car that is?
cpd merit qualified
It's difficult to watch and difficult to comprehend how this person in officer's clothing came to believe his life was in danger? Age? Time on the job? Field training? Experience on the street and in life? Lowered hiring standards? Did he bring trouble from home to work that day? The guy thought he was shot, he was so paralyzed with fear that he could not feel his legs. Mental illness? Will the powers-that-be chalk this up to malice, incompetence, or criminal behavior? Will he be charged?
He is incredibly lucky that his aim was so bad that he did not shoot the detainee in the back of his squad. This video might illustrate the reason why CPD policy does not allow you to use deadly force unless you can put your sights onto a target.
A mental with an awesome gun (optic and flashlight) pretends he’s shot at.
The female partner also fires and with her squeaky high pitched voice attempts to command the scene.
America is over. This is bizarro land.
"Im hit."
The fact he's wearing surgical gloves tells me he's insane.
Utterly embarrassing yet totally foreseeable. This video has become an international joke. The first time you watch it you laugh out loud...the second time you watch it you get angry. It really shows what type of officers police departments have been hiring the past 10 years. Not just anyone can do this job. (With softball co-workers like these who needs enemies?) Prepare to see much more of these incidents in the next few years as standards have dropped...
What the fuck ?
He resigned, but seriously....suppressed rounds don't sound anything like acorns.
But the sheriff whole heartedly backed him in his statement. Must be nice knowing that some bosses realize that people do make mistakes. Whether this was right or wrong, it was just that, a mistake
W-T-F. Is he banned from ever owning a firearm?
I wonder if shot spotter technology picks up falling acorns.
What in the actual fuck is that
Chicago will be no better when you have officers like, Officer “Ivanova” skipping to her squad car recruiting the next generation CPD. She’s ridiculous.
Old Guy posting:
Wonder what kind of mushrooms he had for lunch?
A trip to the Nervous Hospital is in order.
Read the story, watch the video this copper should’ve never been on the job. Without a doubt, I guess with the quality there is applying to police departments everywhere, especially blue states even though this is a red state where this happened. Where is the psychological evaluations at? thank God the offender was not hit and thank God no innocence were hit. This guy must be watching too many video games incredible!
Can you imagine being the offender cuffed sitting in the back when suddenly 20 rounds come blazing through the vehicle in two different directions and all you can do is lay on the seat curl up in fetal position and hope for the best.
very lucky he missed 600x
Temper any criticism with the fact this officer was a West Point graduate and did two tours in Afghanistan.
We don’t know what other factors entered his thinking and reaction.
Holy cow, the softball even thought he was shot.
He resigned, but seriously....suppressed rounds don't sound anything like acorns.
Chicken Little was persecuted and subsequently deep fried for claiming the Sky was Falling...
This is what you’re gonna get in 2024. Stop acting so surprised. There’s plenty more of this to come. The shit they’re hiring today is unreal. It ain’t your father’s police dept anymore, that’s for sure.
Holy shit. That is a level of incompetency that is unequalled. Anywhere. Although I did once hear a story about a copper in 025 that bailed out of the car when he thought he was being shot at when it was actually fireworks. But at least he didn't return fire at a ghost. But he did eventually get a gold star.
Who hired THIS asshole? And why is he wearing rubber gloves?
The prisoner just won the lottery.
Guy was lucky and just hit the lottery unharmed, however, even luckier for the officer is all the shots towards the background of homes. Thankfully for the officer one was hit or killed.
If it happened in Chicago and the officer happens to be clouted; then a promotion is in order.
Goofball Cops are goofier than the criminals nowadays.
The investigators let the female sergeant off the hook after she lied about what she experienced. She did a panic mag dump into the patrol vehicle without any idea what her target was, or why she was doing it. She should have been fired.

So you’re saying this guy was trained much better than most cops and absolutely knew what gunshots sounded like but still decided to act this way? You’re not doing him any favors, doofus.
Assassin Acorns.

West Point and he’s a lowly patrol officer? Not saying much.
Temper any criticism with the fact this officer was a West Point graduate and did two tours in Afghanistan.
We don’t know what other factors entered his thinking and reaction. Can I say something here? Unpopular opinion. As an infantry combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan who’s seen real combat and lost friends, I’m sick and tired of people, especially officers on this job thinking just because someone deployed that they were in any danger. It’s more dangerous to work the west and south sides! Only about 7% of soldiers see any combat. The vast majority sit in a well protected base making up cool war stories to tell their friends and family because they know they will be back safely. Look, I respect anyone who served, but it’s similar to saying a small town cop in the middle of Wisconsin is at the same risk of danger as a proactive CPD copper in a bush district.
9 MM rounds are not a great barrier bullet.
9MM rounds great capacity for carry on duty.
Ask Sergeant Timothy Gramins of Skokie
At one point Gramins heard a doctor exclaim, “We may as well stop. Every bag of blood we give him ends up on the floor. This guy’s like Swiss cheese. Why’d that cop have to shoot him so many times!”
The odds are a Cop down will be cheered by many.
Leadership will Burn Cops, Media will Crucify Cops so Increase your Training. Cartels coming.
Get ready! We have a similar situation brewing. Involves fireworks.

Rubber gloves, dropping his magazine reloading, the prisoner deserves to win that lottery how many innocent people could the asshole that was shooting of maimed or killed? He should’ve never been hired. What about that one girl the copper one was it two or three months ago and CPD got confused went back to her car instead of grabbing her police radio. She was talking to somebody on the phone when there were shots fired. Was she terminated as she should’ve been?
woke hires who have no real world experience..have never been in a fight...have never been yelled at..have never been failed at school.
I've noticed that in the newer generation of two of officers that they seem very tightly wound up. Not just in police work. But in the simple things of life. The menial jobs that require little professional skills, but do require listening while interacting with customers.
They have no sense of humor, and take everything way too seriously. Ever try and make small talk with an operator on the phone? Or, joke with a younger cashier at a big box store?
We gave them Ritalin and other Rx for ADHD, and now we have these Zombies walking among us. They drink way too much coffee (or energy drinks) and don't seem to take advice too well.
Yeah...that officer was in the wrong line of work. Good thing he found out before he got someone killed. Can you imagine if he was some "bosses kid?" He could never be fired...and would likely get promoted!
The quickening continues...
Good safety posture, quick and sudden response, teamwork, smooth and steady trigger squeeze I say good shooting, what?…take the rest of the night off, kid.
The memes for this one are fabulous.
He's honoraboe for resigning. I hope he gets help.
It's a tough job with adrenaline spiking all the time.
Pray he gets a nice quiet job in a safer setting.
No matter if you served in combat front lines or not, military service damages your responses, as does LEO service. Being with ferals is head spinning crazy.
Bless and be kind to all who serve, whetherthey're jumpy or not.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
There are several Western versions of the story, of which the best-known concerns a chick which believes that the sky is falling when an acorn falls on its head. The chick decides to tell the king and, on its journey, meets other animals which join it in the quest. After this point, there are many endings. In the most familiar, a fox invites them to its lair and then eats them all.
If accurate then this officer has serious PTSD and should be treated accordingly... with understanding, compassion and empathy. The comments here speak louder than his actions as to who you are...

I’m calling bullshit on this rumor.
Arkansas National Guard wouldn’t even do stupid shit like this.
Don't be so hard on this poor guy. Who knows what he was thinking at the moment,
also I heard he was a veteran with 2 tours. Everyone is posting like CPD is the finest.. Sad to say CPD is a joke, I think F Throop could do better.
I found where asshead009 is/was working now. Enjoy the time off
I remember a CFD Battalion Chief order a 5-11 for a fire in the Hancock building & they were clouds…….. shit happens
I especially love the part where he exclaims..."I'm Hit!!!" Then when he is questioned about it, says he doesn't know where the shots came from or whether he might be hit...
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA....!!!!
He will do better in the private sector...maybe as a barista, or online shopper for Walmart. He definitely needs a lower stress job.
Sayonara kid...
This has been going on for a while now. CPD has been hiring dummys, addicts, drunks, thugs, ratchets, bimbos, and mentals. Incompetence is across the board, especially with promotions and testing standards.
This is by design by the Leftist politicians and departments, all in the name of DEI and fruitcake police force.
More scandals like this or worse is expected to happen as the years go by.
I love the yelling out of “I’m Hit”!!!!! This is like a comedy movie. What a moron. This is the most Florida cop thing going. Don’t know if any of you guys know many Florida small town or sheriff’s departments but they love this stuff. This guy has ran police shooting scenarios through his mind 20 times a day for the past 10 years for that day that comes where he’s gonna be on a YouTube channel in the big shootout getting the big win… not today my friend..
That’s just nuts!
Conniving little bastards those squirrels.... throwing acorns right at the guy!

Ring knocker in a low intensity conflict? Surely you jest? The Army dumped this fool when he couldn't hack a Company command. Him ending up in a small town department say alot. Defrocked West Pointers typically do law school and/or the Feebs. That he could not get a Federal gig, with transferable retirement tells me he really blew it. Walmart might need greeters.....
Seriously, what in the actual fuck? Good thing he resigned, hopefully he gets some therapy and after dealing with the invevitable lawsuits goes to live out his remaining days in some nice quiet, far-off-the-beaten-path place where there's no oak trees.
Go easy on him, he may have been having a flashbacks, someone mentioned he did two tours.
So much for background checks and psych evals...........
This is what happens with DEI/ESG and other lefty nonsense. The standards are being lowered all the time. Garbage in garbage out.
What was the officer doing immediately before shooting?
Walking back to his car from doing what?
Same for the female officer-what was happening just before the shooting?
The Goof Troop...
Female Sergeant was another idiot.
I have heard from another dude that he was a 10 year Green Beret. If that checks out, he’s got more time behind a gun then most of the people shitting on him. That being said, PTSD can be a motherfucker. He should have never been on the street.
Ok I’m the guy who said temper your remarks
Just like all of you on the blog. I wasn’t there
32 years as cop with 28 in the city doesn’t make me an expert either
Just saying people are human and prone to error
I think the officer involved who left after this incident shows some character to realize maybe this job is not for him
That’s why they put erasers on pencils

The only way he would be excused from that outburst would be if he had PTSD, and he then should have been weeded out.
Was that an episode of police squad?!

I got a bridge to sell you if you believe anything that stupid.
The PTSD comment…I think you hit nail on the head. I really was wondering if this guy had seen combat. Doesn’t mean he should be on the job, but if it is the case, I’m less inclined to make him the butt of a joke. I’ve never been in the military or deployed. My respect goes out to him for his service if that’s true, but maybe he needs a job that won’t inherently put him in harms way. He deserves it.
Get ready! We have a similar situation brewing. Involves fireworks.
I'll take fireworks over acorns any day...
Still trying to figure out what they were firing at. Did they state that they saw visible targets that were firing at them. It seems that he was intermittently firing at unknown targets or putting down some type of suppression fire. Just because you receive gunfire does not mean that you just return fire in that direction. Maybe in a combat zone, but not on a city street. Again, what was he firing out? Did he claim that saw someone firing at him?

Never been in the military, or even had a bloody nose on a football field, but have to include an opinion on PTSD. So when did you graduate medical school then? Shrink or Psych Tech perhaps? Maybe ought to shut up when grown folks are talking
It’s no wonder so many averge people don’t want anything to do with cops anymore.
Bizzarro Cops, a new National Phenomenon.
chicago demoRATic politicians, fake rev-runs and comm-oonity activist still complained when that Chicago police officer shot a kid who had a gun in his hand running from the police and turned toward the officer

He is a ZERO (aka officer dork) then. Another example of too much college, not enough high school. Fucking idiot SF guy that’s not cut out for police work.
Signed,
A veteran.
He just made an arrest and searched a car.
He was exposed to fentanyl which explains his excited delirium and Hilucinations of being shot at and hit.
The Officer, suspect and suspects car should have been tested for fentanyl.
Anyone confirm that he was Army in Afghanistan with severe PTSD.
A semi- serious reason to return to revolvers: in a panic, one can only F@@K up 6 times, and not 15 ( or more)!
