- For those that haven’t heard…one of our famous rank-thief families has done it again. One of the [had the answers] clan has managed to get disability for stress. Apparently being a multiple merit promotee and lt exam cheat takes a toll on your psyche. Though if that is true, our entire exempt structure may collapse.
If it's true, Conehead may collapse. Again.
Anyone know if this is true? We heard she had applied for disability based on stress, which is ridiculous. Related to the Riccio regime, she has been taken care of her entire career, cushy assignments, "merit" and Mom had the answers with her not-so-secret study group....how is that stressful?
By the way, we got the list for the study group with all the email addresses included. Since some numbskull used their Department address for the study group, would that mean that all emails and attached study material is discoverable via an FOIA request?
Asking in case Tony gets it into his head to try something stupid. Again.

I guess Riccio was upset he couldn't promote his cronies anymore by merit because they were white. So he decided to cheat. No respect for cheating. It's criminal. Regarding the use of department email address being used for the mentioned Lt. study group, it was done 100% intentionally. It was done because I believe nothing pertaining to promotions on this job should EVER be considered a secret or private information.

These cheaters were doing it right in front of everyone else and had absolutely no guilt that they were stealing because the exempts were in on it. The exempts were hoping these idiots would cheat their way through the tests so they could use merit for their suck ups who couldn't pass a cheating exam. Riccio was just as guilty.
How is this allowed to happen? It is a punch in the gut to every officer out there. The Dylan and Chiczewski families have had every nice spot there is. Ralph’s daughters and son in law were in that same study group and all three of them are sitting pretty in units with take home cars. At least the the other Dylan is working in a district and learning her job. Nepotism is still alive and well in CPD.the Chizewski sisters don’t deserve their spots. They are an embarrassment to the department.

The other Dillon girl only went to that westside district from 001 to try and get the attention of the Mayor and be put in charge of his detail (obviously didn't happen.) She's currently been lobbying for a position at O'Hare.

This would never happen in Chicago, but it would be great to see. Everyone in Patty Casey's or any other "special" study group should be brought up on fraud charges. In keeping with the great Chicago principles of fairness and equity, each would be offered a plea deal. To keep your job, take a demotion to Sgt, pay back all of the money fraudulently earned as a Lt, and be forever banished from taking another promotional exam. Don't think that's fair? Termination and pursuit of criminal charges.

OP here. Trust me when I say you’re completely off base with your assessment. If I were to guess, I’d say you’re from the “instant gratification” generation. These things take time. Lots of time. Years sometimes. There’s many intricacies involved and it’s always chess, not checkers. From the day we started working together, he always wanted to work. He's a great police officer. Tim hasn't changed. He's the same nice,funny and down to earth person just like when we worked together. He's never had an ego. I have friends that work for him and they say he's the best boss they've ever worked for. It bothers me to see his name dragged through the mud when he doesn't deserve it. He'd be the first person to help any officer and I can tell you he was always one of the first officers to donate money to any benefit for an officer in need. I'm happy for him and I'm proud to call him a friend.

People like this are put into spots to fix things. So when the call comes in at 2 am that someone's nephew murdered someone in 018 there are people to make it go away. That's why merits and cheaters always get the good spots. They will do what they are told when they are told since they always owe someone.
Hanrahan and Hawkins. Hanrahan's wife was also made merit Sgt by none other than Patty Casey, and ushered right back to her previous unit. No penalty box time in a district actually having to learn the job.
And I don't want to hear about what a great person so and so is. It's easy to be funny and nice when everything is given to you. That doesn't qualify one for a promotion in and of itself, let alone an invitation to a study group run by a "subject matter expert."

I don't like to speculate but I can say for a fact that LT Orlando Calvo was not part of the Patty Casey study group. He was at Bernstein with me (I won't be making Lt unless it's merit). Calvo was a test score Sgt as well, not merit. He doesn't fit the profile of all the others that have been mentioned.
Personally I would like to see a full list of all the Patty Casey class participants from this test and the Williams class from last Lt test.
How about the triple and double merit winners in the first couple classes. Watson , courts , Tate all never passed a test, were never a watch commander for one day and are now Commanders. Carter and Snelling people. Vega, Edwards , Branch , Herb Williams, Casale, Cleggett, Haleem never passed a test.

Fact check Pee Wee Mark. He was a merit detective with 4 years on and a merit sgt who never went to patrol.

Just to keep people/folks clear - the one seeking Duty Disability is the one that hid in the office in 011 and would not approve any reports. She then claimed disability from Long Covid and didn't miss a paycheck waiting for her disability to be approved by the pension board!

While you're at it post the "study groups" from Cline and Mauer... just saying. It's the Chicago Way if you don't like it get a job in the private sector. I was never in the clouted group, two promotions off the list no study group. This stuff will eat you up if you let it. By the way, retirement doesn't suck.

Another first class double merit puke is Vanek. He miraculously passed the test and threatened to sue again if they didn’t put him at the Area D unit. The brass folded and let him go to Area 5. Now we all suffer daily looking at this undeserving boner.
So I work in Area 5 and Vanek isn’t double merit, maybe you should get your facts right. He has been nothing but a prince here. Not sure what your problem is but if you have a problem with him grow a pair of balls and tell him to his face. But it won’t happen because all we do is tear people down anonymously.
Fact check Pee Wee Mark. He was a merit detective with 4 years on and a merit sgt who never went to patrol.

Reason why marky Vanec was sent to A5 is because of one of his many nemisis (now Capt JT-011) was sent back to 011 after being promoted to Captain. Since marky was assigned to 011 on 1st watch he immediately called his boss…( his wife) and started crying. She in turn called some juice….family and the first class attorney handling markys lawsuit and they then contacted the city and department. In response to JT being assigned to 011 the crack attorney was able to sell the story of mark being in a “hostile” work environment because JT is listed as a co-def in his lawsuit. So marky was able to get his coward butt out of the hot seat on the west side and back a little north of there to an area.
For you at home viewers this just shows that the bigger the clown the better they are taken care of. Scared Marky has never been anything but a weasel. Too bad all this drama has placed a brick squarely on his wife’s back so her “merit” wish may never come true no matter how much of Jon Heins ass she consistently kisses.

Agreed! There is no way that a husband and wife (Schnoors) and two sisters (Dillions) were all in the Patty Casey study group and ALL scored in the top. They are all cheaters and deserve nothing but shame.

The testing companies develop the tests by meeting with CPD bosses known as Subject Matter Experts(SME). These SME eventually get to see the finished test. They share it with their connected buddies. Anyone who thinks they keep the test and its contents a secret is lying to themselves. All the really special study groups with the bosses' kids and fuck buddies in them had the test, and told their group participants what to "study."
