- Chicago Police have been preparing for the Democratic National Convention this summer - and the huge number of protesters coming with it. New
policies, including one that allows mass arrests of protesters, have
caught the eye of First Amendment advocates - and of the protesters
themselves.
Chicago Police are calling the practice "coordinated multiple arrest incidents," or CMAs. They are to be used when multiple arrests happen at the same time and normal processing cannot happen.
But protesters and civil liberty advocates said it is the policy itself that cannot happen. Groups concerned over how Chicago Police handled - or mishandled - unrest in the days after George Floyd's death at the hands of police in Minneapolis are taking issue with a special order from the CPD dealing with "response to crowds, protests, and civil disturbances."
The Democratic National Convention is coming to Chicago in just four months and thousands of protesters are expected for it. In this a federal court filing last month, the American Civil Liberties Union and a coalition of protesters zeroes in on "serious deficiencies in the mass arrest policy" - a policy they say "eviscerates protections required by the First Amendment."
"CPD doesn't need any more slack in their leash," said Joe Iosbaker of the Coalition to March on DNC. "They need a tighter leash."
The trouble with a tight leash? It strangles.
Which is what they want....so let them have it.
The chaos will guarantee a Trump victory.
Don't be their opening for a lawsuit.

Police should stand aside let the communist lunatics march right into the venue and have their way with the convention goers. Then they should seal all of them inside and let what happens happen. Fuck these people. For all the times they fucked CPD and police agencies nationwide over, demonized it, threw good officers under the bus and took the side of the criminal it's time to let them have the chaos they demanded, that they voted for and insisted upon......right up the ass.
If you want to avoid being part of a mass arrest, don't "protest" in a way that violates the law. We all know how hard it is to actually have someone make the decision for mass arrests, and we all know the arrestees are allowed to blatantly violate the law for hours on end before being repeatedly warned that they will be subject to arrest for another few hours. Whining about a policy that only affects those who choose to openly violate the law while being repeatedly warned of the consequences is just ridiculous. I hope we have a good number of armed counter-protesters who are ready to defend themselves when the rioters turn violent. Mass arrests should be replaced by tear gas, fire hoses, rubber bullets, etc.
I’m not sure about a Trump victory, remember, Brandon said democrats had the most extensive vote fraud organization back before the 2020 election steal.

The cost of his trip considering AF 1, the helicopters, vehicle transport planes must be in the millions that the taxpayers will pay so he can collect 2.5 million for his own pockets. I believe the Capitol Police provided CPD with the blue print on how to handle the convention. Make like 1/6 and just let them in. We have all seen the video of Capitol Police doing just that so why not here? Why wouldn't you? The people inside the DNC and (D)s in general have villainized you for years and are the same ones who will blame you for enforcing the law during the convention. No matter what you do....no matter what the provocation they will blame you. So why not avoid the catch 22 and put up some token resistance and they let them in and let (D)s meet their constituents up close and personal? Just a thought.

I do not believe any of us police should be doing anything at this DNC! Certain entities and groups need to be neutralized and removed from our society, courts, communities i.e. the anarchist group at 31st and Lowe, the ACLU. How many CPD have gone to jail since JVD (who shouldn’t have done even a single second in custody)?
DNC time be like many of the Capitol police on Jan 6, open the doors let the crowd in, wave and shake hands with the protesters.
Proactive police will get you proactively prosecuted. Read up on the general orders regarding use of force, probable cause etc and use it to defend any non action by an officer.

They all sued and won several million dollars. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't. I say let them do whatever they want and just make sure you go home without any injuries.

From another site, the Leftoids may try to cannibalize each other there. The HAMAS partisans are hating on everybody now, and announcing a coordinated action at the DNC Convention, while ANTIFAY are waiting to be paid and told when to show up and why. Burn Loot Murder is warming up for Summer so they can steal new shoes for the riot crews.
For some reason I seem to not have much hope for Chicagos' future. (Or Indys' for that matter.)

Chicago Police should be on a tight leash based on the lie of the whole BLM thing - that blacks (not so much Latinos anymore) are being mistreated by the criminal justice system. Pretty clearly not true anymore - maybe in the 60's, but that is 60 years ago.

They all split the settlement.
They will be staying at Quaker Churches and health food stores. Some are going to homeless shelters. For those staying in air b&bs, gather information to sue the deep-pocketed corporation. The Quakers and AFSC are organising a lot of this.
They're now building what look like very messy protest banners -- intentionally messy because they pull apart easily and the pvc is filed sharp and filled with concrete. So watch for unusually amateurish and hard to carry banners.
They're also modifying umbrellas -- you know, in news photos these just look like umbrellas -- but the ribs and central column are reinforced and sharpened metal and can be dismantled into dangerous weapons. They can dip the sharp parts in black liquid plastic and then pull it off. If they don't pull it off, they have plausible deniability that it's just an umbrella they bought.
Fentanyl filled balloons or projectiles can do a lot of damage. Have lots of Narcan for yourselves and each other.
Tape every last thing so we can foia it. I'll be taping planning meetings and have some already.
