A leading civil rights organization sent a letter Tuesday urging Mayor Brandon Johnson and his handpicked police superintendent to conduct a more thorough investigation into cops linked to the Oath Keepers, a far-right group at the center of the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
The letter from the Southern Poverty Law Center pushes Johnson and Police Supt. Larry Snelling to reconsider the decision not to take disciplinary action against eight officers connected to the Oath Keepers, six of whom admitted during an internal probe to joining the group.
The letter was also signed by a group of Johnson allies: progressive alderpersons Desmon Yancy (5th); Byron Sigcho-Lopez (25th); Jessie Fuentes (26th); Rossana Rodriguez (33rd); and Carlos Ramirez Rosa (35th).
There was an investigation. It found nothing.
If new evidence comes to light - which it won't - you could open a new investigation, but this one is dead, closed, not sustained. Hell, they can't even use the "Matt Rodriguez Rule" on anyone involved because there's zero evidence they ever met with anyone convicted of a felony.
Freedom of Association applies across the board, right? So anyone on a panti-fa mailing list? Or a Hamas-hole supporting Facebook page (they're an actual TERRORIST organization designated by the US Government). Maybe a little #BuyLargeMansions instagram linking?
And the alder-assholes....they're all communists, correct?

Oath Keepers are seen as white supremacists just like the events of January 6 were seen as an insurrection. In other words, there's nothing to support the narrative the media and democrats are pushing. The only crimes that happened on January 6 were some trespassing and the murder of an unarmed white woman by a black Capitol police officer, who somehow feared for his life while an unarmed woman was climbing through a window a considerable distance away from him. Imagine if a white police officer shot and killed a black woman for climbing through a window unarmed. Everything that isn't pro-democrat is somehow a white nationalist organization bent on overthrowing the government. There are plenty of racists on this job. It just so happens that the vast majority of them are black and racist against white people. They also hold most of the highest positions in the department.

One of the best days of my life was when I retired from this POS Department a couple of years ago. That was the day I got my 1st and 2nd Amendment rights back along with many other rights. After signing the paperwork and officially becoming a civilian I literally stated "I can now say whatever the f I want, whenever the F I want, wherever the F I want". (I did use the "F" word, but am trying to clean up my language in my old age) Screw all these POSs! Stay strong Officers and learn the rules and then use the rules against them. The southern poverty law center (SPLW) is a left wing non profit. Its a fundraising powerhouse for democrat lawyers sending millions offshore to Caribbean countries with strict banking privacy practices. Its a U.S. based non-profit dealing in human rights and social services sending money to foreign countries which is a red flag which normally triggers an audit by the IRS. And they are so concerned about hate groups, funds are diverted to handsomely compensate those democrat operatives in charge with six figure salaries. Follow that non governmental 501(c)(3) tax exempt money.
If you are an organized non-progressive organization or Christian faith affiliated group and identified as a threat to the democrat crime syndicate, extensive investigations and IRS audits will follow.
