Conehead is a Liar?
Not just a liar, but a bad one according to our friends at The Contrarian:
Since Johnson become mayor, there has been an impressive consistency to his fibbing: It never ceases, and it applies to every conceivable circumstance. Bearing this in mind, it should not be too terribly surprising Mayor Johnson Pinocchio-ed his way through a recent interview with WCUI’s Brandon Pope on the subject of ShotSpotter.
Though the range of Johnson’s sit-down with Pope was short and rather narrow, on the subject of ShotSpotter, the mayor lied about the efficacy of the gunfire detection technology for three-straight minutes. Broaching the subject of ShotSpotter gently, Pope quizzed the mayor over whether aldermen opposed to Johnson ending the city’s contract with SoundThinking should have influence over whether the technology should remain in their wards.
We only quoted a couple of paragraphs, so head over there and read it all. The entire article is a tour de force taking Conehead to task for numerous and endless lies about ShotSpotter, what its purpose is, how it functions and the technology that actually works well.
If Conehead wants more dead children in minority neighborhoods, let it be on his head. He's safe in his suburban hideaway far from the gunfire.

I say get rid of shotspotter. It works. Time is of the essence in these cases. Let them eat themselves. Let them eliminate their own.
ShotSpotter should provide at least an app service, no need at this point for specific locations, that alerts anyone who logs on to any detected firearm discharges by their tech.
Just this, smart phone alerts, firearm discharge(s) detected, 24 hours, around the clock, to anyone who wants it.
The daily/nightly quantity of these alerts will astound and inform however many of the public who use this app.
What more effective application of transparency could there be?
Mayor conehead will divert Shot Spotter money to the hood groups and pastors... never mind this puts Chicago taxpayers safety at more risk
What conehead going to do about the coming $650 Million deficit for 2025 budget ?

Residency has always been a way to use city jobs to exert political control. Smart employers want the best people, regardless of where they sleep. Lift residency requirements and hey, I would bet morale improves throughout city employees.
But, no, not for mayors/other officials/aldercreatures. They make the mess, they need to wallow in it.
As for MBJ and his abode? Oh yes, please do tell where. Maybe enough pressure and he will lift the requirement.

I saw a post on social media several years ago, by a guy who said he was involved in politics. The ward where he worked included Cabrini Green. If memory serves me, he said something like "10-15% of registered voters would typically get out to vote-by the end of the day, we had it at 85-90%. If you were too drunk or high to go to the polls, we had you covered!" Apparently, he thought this (voter fraud?) was funny. So maybe, there aren't as many people in Chicago pulling the "D" lever as there appears to be.
I am willing to chip in and hire a private detective to follow the mayor's detail and shoot video of conehead residing outside of the city...
