powers while officials investigate allegations of off-duty misconduct.
The move comes after Instagram videos posted Sunday showed men engaged in an altercation at a downtown venue over the weekend.
In one clip, a man looks down the length of a bar, angry at another man standing several feet away.
It goes downhill from there, all caught on social media and broadcast for the world to see.
And of course, once your name is out there, they dredge up all the previous records of your career, good, bad and really bad, including lawsuit payouts. Best of luck Lt....you're going to need a lot of it.

Wrong.These are other officers he’s arguing with. Young PO’s who fell for his bullshit. Let’s also mention how that’s not his “WIFE” who he was with. That’s his side piece who he made a call to get into a unit. Every officer on that deck that night will take a hit because of this jagoff. They ALL have a DUTY to report egregious activity on or off duty including his girlfriend. That they didn’t, well the department better take action. This includes the supervisor he called to “fuck” with these guys. So, that he screwed the livelihood of not only himself but others makes him just like them.

There was a roll call where one of our deserving merit lieutenants was chastising us for not writing any movers. This was during a contract negotiation to show Lil Richie we were pissed. NO ONE wrote any tickets. This was universal on every watch, every PO. You wrote them if you ABSOLUTELY had to. The Lieutenant ranted about bouncing you off the watch, splitting partners up, and of course your overtime. All bullshit. He cried about the heat he was getting from upstairs saying he was passing the grief to us. He said "..ya know shit flows downhill..." An old timer interjected "..but scum always rises to the top". The whole roll called laughed and he soon ran out of the room. The old timer was a Vietnam Vet and an old Task Force guy. He could have gone anywhere he wanted to go but he worked in 002 until he retired just to fuck with bottom feeder bosses. Nothing scared guys like Howard....
