Looks like there is fencing being put up today all around McCormick Place for the DNC...low and behold, the work is being done by NON-UNION personnel, as well as the drivers.
This is supposed to be handled by UNION Carpenters, but they've been told to shut up and support Kamala

I could swear the Plateform of the DNC and demoRat politicians is pro union and that Chicago is a union town. Guess I was wrong. Trump’s people should get a hold of this info and bury FatAss, Mayor BJ, and Kamala in a commercial for not demanding union labor be used to erect the structures.
Biden and the Democrats have always used the unions as a prop in their campaign stops. He loved to stand in front of them and tell them they were the backbone of America. I have a relative who has a company, and the pressure from the unions never let up. The profit margin is slim and you better not be late paying those benefits to the unions or they will screw you. The big bosses keep pushing Democrats. The employees believe the unions don’t do that much for them personally.

I want union labor to be used where they are contracted to be used, but the photo shows fencing being installed on the underside of I-55-not McCormick Place. Perhaps a photo of the fencing being put up around McCormick Place would be more convincing for the argument
Scabs everywhere ,It is amazing that the Union organizer for the CTU BJ is allowing NON-UNION work to go on all over the city. Solar panels on roof of cargo building at O'Hare, Fence around McCormick Place , Parking garage O'Hare (BOWA) work at Midway Airport, Work going on around United Center.. But yet the union bosses just tell members these are jobs we don't want to do .WTF go VOTE for who your union tells you too.
We had a trade show there once, the out of state workers were in utter fear of plugging in a computer. They were told only electricians could. Only with unions. If they had their way you'd have to call them to do the same in your own house. Fuck them.

As long as the City/State keep passing construction bills and promise to keep cranes in the air, all the other construction/labor unions will always fall in line with whatever the Dems tell them to do. All their members care about is themselves instead of what is probably best for the City or State as a whole.

After the 0bama recession 130 was near death and chopping the already PAID FOR retirement plan to the bone many had to quickly change their retirement plans, health care was also cut.
There was a massive transfer of funds from 597 to 130; not voted on, just happened.
PS: Plumbing and Pipefitting are called PIPE TRADES, on inaugural day asshole joe killed the Keystone Pipeline and 30,000 PLUS UNION jobs.
Pipeline jobs are feast and famine. You get the job and work insane overtime for a few months, go home, decompress for a month or so and start looking for another pipeline that is hiring.
This move crushed thousands of union workers.

And then the city managers of the company they work for will never call them.
The Trades have never been supportive of police officers or fire fighters. I can go back to the late 60's when Danny Green tried to start a union. The city screwed him over and the trade unions would not come to the aid of the police officers or fire fighters. Screw all of them. Do not put yourself in harms way during the DNC. You will be left to hang out with no support from anyone except your FOP rights. I was at the last two conventions. We had leadership which you do not have now.
To be fair, there is a worker shortage in every trade nationwide. I was talking to a demo guy with a VERY BIG job downtown. He said they have about 75 in their crew but need about 90-100 to complete the job in the given timeframe. He can't find enough workers, union or non-union.
Union workers are the biggest hypocrites of anyone. You think any union tradesman hires a union shop to come work on their house? Nope. Maybe some union guy scabbin on the side though. Fuck them and their overlords voting to destroy this city/state/country.

Why hire union carpenters to erect a fence? So they can take a week to do it, over charge for their “skilled” labor to erect a temporary fence and try to justify charging 100k to put it up when you can have it put up for 10k in two days??? Sorry, Union labor and skill prices are completely out of control. Also, these trades still “union strong” and scream to vote democrats because they think it’s their daddy’s Democratic Party. Sorry, the Democratic Party of 2024 is nothing like the Union backed democrats of the 60s,70s,80s,90s and even early 2000s. That’s dead and gone.
