Hard Federal Time

Either Crimesha sucks at her job, or the feds saw an easy slam dunk (thanks to outstanding work by CPD and suburban detectives that Crimesha consistently disregards) and took it:

  • Federal prosecutors have reached a plea agreement with a man accused of robbing 12 convenience stores in Chicago and the suburbs during one week last year. Officials expect to seek a sentence in excess of 14 years.

Terrance Thomas, 20, was on parole for illegally possessing and firing a handgun when he and at least two co-conspirators allegedly went on the seven-day spree that stretched from the city’s North Side to Cicero.

State prosecutors filed charges against him in April 2023, but federal prosecutors decided to step in and charge him with three felonies in connection with one of the crimes: robbery affecting interstate commerce, using a firearm in the commission of a violent crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

We've been part of two cases that went federal, and believe us, if there is a single duck out of line, the feds aren't touching it and Crimesha will drop it somewhere along the line.

You're right. Feds only want cases that they can't lose

If feds charge a guy with 20 counts, go to trial and convict him on 19 they consider it a "loss".

Still I do love to see them charge as many local miscreants as possible.

12 incidents, 3 charges? WTF?

Why not 12 incidents, 12+ charges and lock that POS up forever.

She definitely sucks at the job no doubt! If crimes went federal the crime rate would drop, because that court system actually throws the scum in prison unlike as we know crook county, and with fatass signing the no cash bail bill just making things exponentially worse! All the terrorists here for the convention know this also, what counts? The thin blue line, the home front, and your family! God,Family,Country!

Every mutt arrested in $hit-cago should be charged federally starting with the fifth floor at city hall...

This sounds like a lot of time, but only because you are comparing it to what Chicago robbers get.

Does she ever go into the office anymore? It seems like she has completely checked out of doing her job.

As a retired FED who was a prior CPD super star (86-3) I thoroughly enjoyed taking knuckleheads to trial in the Northern District of illinois- I never lost a case. There are guys I locked up in 1991 who are still in jail and many more who died in jail. And when I had cases in The Southern District of New York in Manhattan it was like experiencing Nirvana. The prosecutors in the SDNY are ballsy and heroic. If you want to get bad guys massive amounts of time become a Federal Agent. You will never regret it.

The Feds (Fibbers and Justus) are corrupt to their core. Fuck off with that bullshit of becoming a Federal Agent.

She was elected, not hired. He can't fire her.

Can the governor do that in Illinois? I know he can in Florida. Ron DeSantis launched two elected prosecutors.

Fuck off fed. You are 1 of the many reasons this country is circling the drain. You are all compromised.
