What's with the media waking up and reporting what we've been saying for over a decade now?
Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s reluctance to prosecute and Mayor Brandon Johnson’s lack of a concrete response to rising crime is paying dividends for the city in all the wrong ways.
A new report from the Illinois Policy Institute (IPI) shows that violent crime continues to rise in Chicago, with robberies up 21 percent in just one year – and with arrests down.
“Chicagoans reported 7.6% more violent crime from July 2023 through June 2024,” the IPI report said. “Residents experienced a 21% increase in robberies during those 12 months, with robberies becoming one-third of all violent crimes.
“Residents reported 29,522 violent crimes through June,” the report continued. “But as cases of violent crime hit their highest level in the past five years, the arrest rate for these felonies declined to 10.8%, the lowest level in the past five years.”
Chicago is now the “crime capital of the world” and “tops the nation in youth crime," former mayoral candidate Paul Vallas wrote in a recent commentary. “Chicago needs a real crime strategy. It must restore police strength. It must hold criminals responsible. It must offer safety that puts the city’s low-income families at ease.”
We would say that Vallas is exaggerating a bit and that there are parts of Central and South America that put Chicago's numbers to shame. But among allegedly first world cities, Chicago is certainly top tier in crime disappointments, directly attributable to disappointing politicians.

Remember when pigster signed the safe-t act into law. He had that creepy grin on his face like Damien had in the movie The Omen. Almost every top law enforcement official in the state told him not to sign it but he did it anyway.
Off topic: Who’s the stroke “supervisor” from 009 who made a fool of himself on zone 4 talking about he can’t process an arrest and he can’t bring an arrestee into the station because he is a “supervisor.” Stroke was parked outside of the station demanding real police officers help him.

Off Topic… what’s with the idiot commander of the academy? He started all of the recruits at 4 AM for Bud Billiken . The Bud doesn’t start until 10 AM. Those kids were stuck there until 6 PM. A 14 hour day for a goddamn back to school parade. No wonder he’s a commander because he’s an idiot.
Vallas did not negotiate a proper raise for us. Remember that. The raise came because it became painfully obvious that police needed to be paid more.

Have to wonder about increasing the numbers to strengthen the PD as the job is nowhere near as enticing as it used to be thanks to all the BS from the media and politicians. Anybody with a brain has to see it isn't a job promising any satisfaction anymore. Good luck.

I'm not sure. The Democrats do not want a $hit$how to take the edge off of the Harris high they are now enjoying. BLM will be silent. Antifa will be paid not to show up, the alphabet people are just goofs. Soros and his people want to continue access to the White House and will do everything in their power to keep things quiet. The Hamas for Harris faction should realize she is their best friend. And the final backstop is the MSM who will ignore any violence. If it is not reported, it did not happen.

Stroke or not, this applies to most officers, no one today seems to be able to process anything, everyone needs a paper car. It’s as if only a beat car from a district is allowed to do anything.

Chicago has a crime strategy called the Consent Decree. You know the federal money making scheme enriching former federal judges and prosecutors. Excellent way to supplement your federal pension. Crime has mysteriously risen with the Consent Decree. Thanks for the decree Lisa Madigan, Tiny Dancer Rahm Emanuel and Corporation Counsel Steve Patton. All of whom have moved on as their taxpayer funded scheme lives on.
Taxpayers and inquiring minds should ask how has the wasted monies on the consent decree reduced crime and the improved the quality of life for the unrepresented taxpayers in Chicago? Re-imagine a police department run by locals who understand local crime. Not those federales feel good social re-engineering and selective federal restorative justice theories derived from academia's left-wing extremists.
With all the $ that the Harris campaign is soaking up, I'm guessing more than a few of those dollars will find themselves in the pockets of demonstrators if they behave and don't riot..
Downtown is a disgrace. It will probably never recover. Bust-outs, shitbags and immigrants have taken over. A once thriving business and shopping district is now home to taxpayer funded shelters, constant thievery, robbery, beatings, shootings and homicides. Anyone who doesn't believe this is by design is just plain ignorant and uneducated. The rich want destruction so prices tank and their friends pick up real estate for pennies on the dollar. Then, out of nowhere, Chicago will hire ample Police and the city will be safe so the connected can profiteer. It's the Democratic way. Anyone who votes Democrat is voting against themselves and their bank accounts.
