Why would these be "popping up throughout Illinois"?
- Vending machines containing naloxone, an opioid antagonist,
are appearing all over Illinois as officials battle fentanyl
overdoses.
Opioid overdoses can occur when someone uses too much of a prescription opioid, like hydrocodone or oxycodone, or uses illegally distributed drugs. A person purchasing street drugs is at risk of overdose since many street drugs are contaminated with fentanyl.
Oh yeah....the completely unsecured border is allowing cheap and poorly made Chinese fentanyl to be shipped over by the Central American cartels and dumped into the street drug trade.
Conehead is spending millions on this for people who willingly put poison into their bodies.

There were reports in NYC that unlicensed pot shops had about 90 percent of their products laced with fentanyl. Honestly, I don’t have enough faith in the system to even keep it out of the licensed shops.
Because we beat big pharma that's why. It's part of the deal to lower insulin prices. The push for more boosters too. Gotta make up the money somewheres

If a water pipe burst in your basement would you keep pumping the water out or would you shut the main water shut off valve first, then pump the water out?
It seems to make sense to shut the border down completely and then clean up the drug supply rather than wasting time, manpower and money installing Naloxone vending machines for people who don’t care about their bodies.
They bought the dope ...

It's rather sad. Where the "rule of law" is tossed to the side. Not by the criminals: we know that and take it for granted. But, the folks in power. Always thought one leads by example. Guess I was brought up wrong.
Democrats never address the real problem. Instead, they focus on secondary and tertiary methodologies that create the illusion that something is being done by the administration. Keep voting for Democrats, they are the best that money can buy.
At the risk of sounding insensitive, I'm not really interested in fentanyl overdoses. I consider it a way that nature culls the herd.

Saw vending machines with Narcan and fentanyl test strips at I-44 service area in Oklahoma last year - I was shocked (I don't get out much).

Save them so they can OD again in a few days. Like the signs at the zoos say DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS. I've heard and saw on the OD calls guys going lights and sirens to save someone who doesn't give a care about there selves. Slow down and drive normal so you don't pile up and kill yourself for a junkie.
Yes, that makes sense, but it doesn't increase the number of Democrat voters or graft $$$ from cartel leaders to various and sundry pols. That's how they took control of Mexico, and they've since discovered that US pols are just as cheap and easy to buy off.
