Blue v Blue

Keep fighting a$$hats:

  • Political tensions are building between the Civilian Office of Police Accountability and a panel of everyday Chicagoans charged with overseeing the Chicago Police Department.

The latest source of contention centers around a Freedom of Information request filed by former COPA chief Sharon Fairley. That request was filed just hours after the Community Commission on Public Safety and Accountability made an extraordinary request for Chicago’s inspector general Deborah Witzburg to investigate the “quality and integrity” of COPA investigations under current COPA chief Andrea Kersten.

Fairley specifically asked for “documents, communications materials and records related to the quality and integrity of COPA investigations and retaliation against COPA employees that form the basis” of the request for Witzburg to investigate.

And, she is seeking all email communications between any current or former COPA employees and Anthony Driver, president of the community commission. Fairley also asked for all email communications between Driver and CPD Supt. Larry Snelling from Jan. 1 through July 16 of this year....

Still no movement on the tactic by corrupticrat Kersten who routinely types email "updates" to certain city executive, then tips off the media to FOIA the emails using certain keywords so that they can generate "stories" that don't look like leaks....the way the certain federal offices do with the national media over the past few years.

Of course, the article author - Fran Spielman - carried water for various Chicago mayors for years and we wouldn't be surprised to some connections to a list of those FOIA requests.

And while they’re working at 7-11 they can have all the free white wine spritzer flavored slurpees that their hearts desire 😉

Let's see which one will prove itself to be the most progressive of the two. My guess is they will go to extreme lengths to out progressive the other one.

Fran Spielman the "Rubber Chicken look alike, has been a reliable water boy for the Democrats. The aged reporter will continue to carry water, but her buckets will be smaller as her body wears thin and she continues to be irrelevant.

Continued pressure on COPA and their Minister of Punishment and Revenge, Kerstin the Malevolent, should be stepped up with additional FOIA's and other legal means to reign in their Kangaroo Court. Expose the vermin for what they truly are.

If you think that's a blue-on-blue battle, just wait until the fistfights on the floor at the democratic national convention begin...that is going to be must see TV!

Frankly, Driver is relatively fair. We all get caught up in the blue brotherhood, but there are people who need to be culled from this job. Those people are mostly clouted. Not holding my breath, but hopefully something right happens

Good because Drivers and Larry Snelling are from Englewood. Drivers still lives in Englewood.

COPA, OIG and Community Commission need to step down. The mayor runs all three.

Andrea Kersten is the targeted of at least three pending and upcoming OIG complaints and possibly one against her law license.

Driver is pretty fair. He calls out CPD, the community and COPA. When you're wrong, you're wrong and when you're not, you're not. can't be any fairer than that. I'm hearing a supervisor is going to email him a ton of anti COPA /COPA misconduct info. Let's see how that goes.

There is no need for COPA. Follow the suburban police departments leads. Hire lawyers, or hire state police, or out of state PDs to investigate. COPA is a criminal organization. All kinds of false official reporting and misconduct going on over there. They are hardly fair, as Ephrain Eaddy, Kersten’s no 2, is the son of former police board chairman Michael Eaddy. How is that fair?

When COPA is found to have lied or been biased we should be suing them. Just like what happens to us. This should be spearheaded by the unions. Have them write some assists down on paper and will see some real change.
