Twenty-seven Shot, but....
- Twenty-eight people have been shot in shootings across Chicago so far this weekend, police said.
As of this typing, HeyJackass.com has the numbers at zero and twenty-seven, while ABC has it twenty-eight. We'll see what the final numbers are tomorrow morning.
A day without a shooting is rare enough that the media was bragging about it months ago when it occurred, it being the first day in nearly four years that didn't have someone shot.
If the entire weekend goes without a shooting death, we expect Conehead will throw a parade, Larritorious will meritoriously promote himself to Super-Duper-Intendent and Fata$$ will stop proposing insane gun laws since the correct balance appears to have been struck.

What’s going on in 018? I’m hearing the Commander threw the Tact Lt. and some of the hard chargers right under the bus when asked about some recent questionable recorded conduct. Get ready for the he said she said finger pointing.
So why the Crown Hats next week? What is everyone supposed to do when/if the protesters start throwing rocks, bricks, frozen pop cans, fireworks, etc? No homicide-free parade for Conehead and his party of retarded Marxists. A 13yo was fatally shot in the head at a known address up in Edgewater. Also, we recorded 11 people listed in serious-to-critical condition. It's likely that at least one, maybe two, won't make it.
The only thing saving Conehead this year with his "homicides are down" line is the fatality rate. Through Sunday, there have been 1,921 people shot, last year for the same timeframe there were 1,922 people shot. Even CPS math would likely get a difference of one for that equation.
However the fatality rate this year is 17.1%. Last year it was 19.6%. That turns out to be a difference of 2-3 homicides per 100 shot and with 1900+ so far, we're looking at between 40-60 fewer homicides.
