Seven Years for 2022 Crime
But out (and probably home) already:
- An eight-time convicted felon has been given a seven-year sentence for displaying a firearm on the Red Line in the Loop. But, because Roderrick Sims earned so many credits while fighting the charges, he is not required to spend a single day in prison.
Sims, 33, was on parole for robbing a Michael Jackson impersonator at the Jackson Red Line station when he was caught with a gun at the Roosevelt station in June 2022.
[...] On Thursday, Sims pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm while on parole, the second most serious charge he faced, according to court records. He was sentenced to seven years by Judge James Obbish.Illinois Department of Corrections records show he was taken to Stateville Correctional Center on Friday and went home the same day. So, while he was given a seven-year sentence, he is getting out of prison just two years and three months after being charged. He’ll be on supervised release for a year.
So all he got was a stint in county and a free day trip to Stateville. No word if taxpayers had to eat the cost of a bus ride home.
Smart money says he gets another gun within 30 days, a UUW charge within 90 days, and Crimesha won't charge him for any of it.

Maybe he will get his lunch when he fucks with the wrong person .
And that’s ok SCC …. Let the city continue to allow us to chase the same “offenders” day in and day out lol … it’s all being done on OT !! lol jokes on them. To the younger officers out there … take ur time getting to jobs make that OT and better your family situation.
Officer McNulty
An old gang crimes sergeant said that guys with guns will always be guys with guns. True back in the day, true now.
...can't keep a real player down...
Maybe he'll catch a bullet or seven instead. Gotta look on the bright side.
Compared to the political slime in IL.....He did some long time.
I'm going to invest in rope, might be a big seller next year.
...got to get out, he's going to be a poll worker....
.
Yep and in due time he'll join the Rhanni Davis club.
Open borders illegal criminals flooding this once lawful great country, elected making laws to advance lawless behavior like jb no cash bail laughing as he signed it into law, along with our clueless mayor and alderidiots what else do we expect?
well, it's about time a white criminal caught a break from crimeesha,,,, oh wait,,,
And over here, no surprises on their radar again they failed to execute the same way the Secret Service did not do their job because of DEI obviously with President Trump being shot:
Georgia school shooting suspect on FBI radar since 2023 as possible threat after online remarks https://www.foxnews.com/us/georgia-school-shooter-fbi-radar-2023-possible-threat-online-remarks
That would be Pritzkers Illinois Department of Corrections
This is Democratic run state, so Democrats get the credit
Just todays example of how ridiculous and useless our so called "justice " system is.
Robs a MJ impersonator...lmfao He has got to be a CPS alumni
They know how to work the system ! Easier to do the time in County than downstate so they delay the trial enough to the point that they'll eventually meet what ever sentence they would get then use the county time as a credit toward the sentence!
Was he on an ankle monitor? Because these guys are getting good time off their sentences while out and about on the monitor.
Burke us completely silent
So, in Grand Crossing a woman was returning from the Laundromat with 1700 bucks and gets robbed. Can I ask, who in their right mind is walking around with 1700 bucks, including taking it to the Laundromat, in that neighborhood? Is there some victim compensation law I'm unaware of because you have to have a screw loose to be on the street with that in your purse ...
That will teach him a lesson. I am certain now that he will turn his life around and become a model citizen after this last experience with the criminal justice system.
Install a revolving door.
Victims always have tons of money on them.. yeah right. The longer you stay there making the “what was taken” list, the more they think of things to add.
FBI too busy with J6, Trump supporters, white supremacists and soccer moms at school board meetings to be bothered with school shooters.
You have to give it to fat ass ,”we’ll all be safer with the fly by night safe t act …. Give that man a samich
I'm left wondering just how bad things have to get before we turn back into a rule of law country, and begin enforcement and execution of crimes with actual sentencing? It will be far too late before any of these elected democrats ever come to their senses...More and more people are getting killed and maimed, and no one in charge seems to care...ASA's, judges, and even the police.
Happy Anniversary 🎉

No root beer float for you!
Sure, but hoping for that as the best result kind of negates the entire idea of a Justice System.
Was it Rent Day?
Cook County, State of Illinois, do the crime, don’t do any time
CPD DNC video released on youtube. Department IT team being true cowards as always, afraid of internal critique, disabled the comments. What happened to transparency?

Last week it was Deputy Chief Jerome, this week it’s Deputy Chief Nieves.
Ghetto criminal justice, Kimmie Fox style. Then they ask why crime is so bad in Chicago. The answer is Kim.
Did you accomplish anything in that time?
Can't leave it at home because her yutes will take it
It’s not the IT team. Those accounts are handled by News Affairs or some other unit under snelling and it’s them who disable the comments section.
