008 Tact Shooting?
A comment said there's almost no coverage on a "shots fired at the police" incident in 008 the other day.
They're correct - we can't find anything about it aside from two comments here.
Obviously, no one got hit. And obviously, the media doesn't care unless they can spin it as the police doing something wrong, so they deserved it. We remember when shooting at cops used to be a big deal.

Hey SCC, while you are on the topic of cops getting screwed you might mention the new case from the SCOUS regarding qualified immunity. I don’t have a link, but barebones, cops serve an arrest warrant down in Texas for some bullshit charge against a citizen journalist. The point being that it was an arrest warrant. I haven’t seen an arrest warrant for sometime but they use to say something like “Any peace office in the state is COMMANDED to arrest…”. So the cops are now being stewed for serving a warrant which was valid on its face while the judge whose job it is to review the warrant is protected by their full immunity. I remember an old time judge admonishing me because I let a guy walk on a ten dollar parking warrant. The law is the law he said, and a judge order you to arrest this reprobate and take him to jail, so you have no discretion. I guess times have changed.

Not to change the subject but what happened to the senate and house bills giving first responders their full Social Security? It’s election time folks!
