COVID Payday
A federal jury of all things, in lib-tarded San Francisco:
- A federal jury has sided with fired BART workers who sued the agency claiming they lost their jobs over a COVID vaccine mandate.
There are six of them total in the lawsuit and each will receive more than $1 million.
The employees claimed religious exemptions to the vaccine mandate but say they were not accommodated by the transit agency, and subsequently lost their job.
BART did initially grant vaccine exemptions, but the plaintiffs argued they weren't accommodated. An accommodation could have meant that they were able to work from home or get COVID tested regularly for COVID. They argued none of that happened and they lost their job.
Groot lucked out here. A sharp-eyed cop noted that the CPD was denying religious exemptions to Officers at something like a 75-to-90% rate while other city departments were granted everything under the sun. He publicized it and made a stink and it all ground to a crawl before dying out.
We know we could have used a million bucks, though waiting for four years would have made it very difficult to maintain our current lifestyle. Perhaps those who resigned or retired under pressure could have some sort of recourse? A few hundred cops being compensated for Groot's dictatorial power grab would be amusing at the very least.

I know him very well as I was one of the people whose job he saved. He won’t care if I drop his name. Glen Popiela from K9 was the one responsible for making all of this possible. He was able to show that the city was completely biased when it came to approving religious exemptions. Every other city worker was averaging about 70% approval rate for religious exemptions, while we were less than 1%. He even signed an affidavit, which was entered into the official court record when the FOP sought the temporary restraining order to halt the mandatory vaccine. Once all his evidence was made public, the city magically started approving our religious exemption requests. Knowing Glen he’ll be happy to provide all he’s accumulated to anyone who has a lawyer that would like to see it to sue the city.
Glen is also responsible for uncovering the unfair treatment when it came to suspensions from Special Employment. They would suspend people at the drop of a hat, for how long depending on what type of mood they were in that particular day. The connected and special people were taken care of while the grunts that made the same petty mistakes were hammered. I guess it has already gone before an arbitrator and FOP is waiting for the arbitrators decision.
Glen also uncovered how the FOP allowed the department to promote people to bomb dog positions who didn’t even test for it. Not sure of the details on that other than a bunch of people got screwed while a few of the chosen special people got promoted illegally. Last I was told is the people who got screwed are gonna sue the city, department and fop. The whole promotional process is dirty since the beginning of time, I guess the proof has been discovered, documented and given to a prominent labor law firm.
I hope anyone who was forced out runs with this and sticks it up the cities ass. The lawyers need to go after the gold stars who gave all the illegal orders with the whole covid process bullshit for punitive damages too

There has been a federal case about this for CPD, 15 current and former officers all trying to sue the city for a good 3.1million. Can't wait to see the payout from the city for being stupid as they are.

I have elderly parents at home so I took the vaccine early on and I wasn't subject to the tyrant enforcement. But being a witness to how the vax stripping's were handled was an eye opener for me. The bosses really screwed over many officers and their families, and they would do it again without any hesitation for another bite of the merit apple. This is not the same department I joined almost two decades ago.

The people that should sue the city and lightfoot into oblivion are the ones that were forced to take an ineffective vaccine for no reason or be fired. Healthy young city works especially cops had to choose between taking the BS shot and their careers and providing for their families. This was not voluntary.

Yes, I would be happy to provide to a harmed officer’s attorney everything I’ve accumulated in respect to the blatantly biased treatment CPD officers received in respect to the Religious Exemption process.
Of particular interest is I’ve acquired both the names of those individuals tasked with reviewing and approving or rejecting exemption requests as well as their generic “one size fits all” template used to process those requests. Perhaps punitive damages can be sought taking these things into account, but that decision would obviously be left to people much smarter than me. One thing I’m pretty certain of is that time limitations exist to initiate something like this, so keep that in mind.
In regards to suspensions from Special Employment: if an officer was suspended in 2023, appealed his/her suspension and feels like they weren’t treated equally or according to VSWO’s “Guidelines”, I’ll be happy to review their appeals penalty for parity in comparison to others. At this time I only have all of their suspension records from 2023. Although time constraints have passed for invoking the grievance process individually, there is another option to move forward.

Speaking of payday, anyone get there water bill yet, the bill nearly went up twice as much as the last one. I mean the last bill went up two folds, and now this one went up almost twice again. Someone has got to pay for the migrants/voters, and the $90, 000 for the First Lady's office, $6,000 desk, and the $4,000 chair. Lets not forget the 200 man protective detail for the dictator mayor, oh and while we're at it, don't forget his alleged business trip to London to watch the Bears play, he had to bring his entire family, and an entourage all at we the taxpayers expense. Yeah Glen is a good dude who I worked with in the 90s. Retired for several years now but learned of his efforts thru friends still on the job. He never took shit from supervisors, isn’t deterred by rank and seems he will stop at nothing to do the right thing especially when such an important issue effects the “little guy”. We always joked that he was a bit crazy and cut from a different cloth. but he is far from stupid and he is obviously tenacious when he digs in. Seeing how much that job has changed it’s probably a good thing for him that the majority of the upper management are spineless cowards that wouldn’t dare to retaliate, although Glen would probably welcome that challenge 😂. Keep up the good fight Glen, I’ll look you up when I’m back in town.

Not CPD, but Glen sounds like the kind of guy you should elect as your union president.
Just read this ruling. Court found in favor of the city. All the officers who sued did so basically for being put in a no pay status for not complying with the direct order to disclose their vax status in the portal and/or testing twice a week. They all were granted their religious accommodation. That said, I wonder if the case can be made for officers who left the job when they were DENIED a religious exemption fearing that they’d be coerced into taking the poison shot to remain employed. If I recall correctly, there WAS a hard date that officers who didn’t get a religious or medical exemption had to get shots by. That would be my argument… they FORCED me out when I had to choose between my religious beliefs and a forced vaccination. THATS where Glens data would surely be helpful. CPD employees were treated unfairly/discriminated against when compared to other city agencies. What say any attorneys monitoring this topic?
