Kind of symbolic of the entire Sparklefart legacy when you think about it:

• A federal lawsuit reviewed by Newsweek alleges that a company involved in constructing the Obama Presidential Center subjected a Chicago-based Black American-owned subcontractor to "baseless criticism and defamatory and discriminatory accusations" and blamed the company for construction delays.

  "In a shocking and disheartening turn of events, the African American owner of a local construction company finds himself and his company on the brink of forced closure because of racial discrimination by the structural engineer of record (Thornton Tomasetti) for the construction of The Obama Presidential Center," the case reads.

As far as we can tell, the structural engineer - who has to inspect and verify the structure won't collapse - alleges that the concrete work is subpar, improper and outside industry specs. We don't know much about concrete work, but....

....we're pretty sure that a brand new building that hasn't even opened yet shouldn't have concrete slabs cracking like that.

The only "good" news is that the $500 million project - currently sitting at $830 million and likely to top a billion dollars - is paid for by donations of people attempting to buy favors from Sparklefarts, and not taxpayers.
