- January 2025: 42 killed, 110 wounded
- January 2024: 38 killed, 122 wounded
That's an 11% rise in homicides - double digits!
But Larritorious and Conehead will point to the 10% decrease in shootings.

Not in 001 due to the incredible leadership and micromanagement of the intelligent brass. We are lucky to have competent leaders. Crime will continue to go down until we see it go completely in reverse, negative crime numbers in 001 soon.

Circa 1970: IAD beef about a citizen's unpleasant confrontation with a few of us assigned to 001. Statements given to an IAD Sgt. A question asked at the end: "have you ever falsified an official police report?" Answer: "every fucking day, I work in the 1st District". That is by orders of the supervisors and Commander. Nothing further and the beef was unfounded.
From the above comment, I see nothing has changed over the past 50+ years (and I'm sure that crime killing didn't start then either). I would not use the same response from 1970 at this time.
Radio host will be informed once the crime numbers go into the negative. The criminals are actually committing positive community interactions.
Can't wait until the killing season really opens up. Crime will go down for sure, the mayor said so. It must be true. Otherwise, our illustrious mayor would be wrong and bullshitting the public.
