Zero-For-Four

Just keeps popping up, over and over and over:

  • A Chicago police commander’s odyssey to land a chief’s job in another city has come up empty again — this time in Detroit.

Joshua Wallace was one of three finalists for Detroit’s police chief job. This week, the mayor there picked a Detroit candidate, the interim police chief, over Wallace and a former chief of a Denver transportation district. The Detroit News reported the Michigan staffing service that ran the candidate search was unaware Wallace had filed for bankruptcy last year after he fell more than $839,000 in debt.

Wallace’s bankruptcy was first reported in October by a newspaper in Des Moines, Iowa, after he was named a finalist for the chief’s job there. That position went to a local candidate, too.

Last year, Wallace also was a finalist for police chief’s jobs in Austin, Texas, and Boulder, Colorado. The Austin job went to a Cincinnati assistant police chief, and the Boulder job went to the interim police chief there.

We remember a time when a walking financial disaster like this wouldn't have even been considered for the job he did have with CPD - commander of a specialize unit. Speaking of which - how are these other cities discovering his issues, but Chicago never did?

How TF is this guy in charge of anything… this was wallets pick. Snelling hates him. Snelling is still bowing down to Fred’s picks trying not to insult him by moving anyone. Snelling needs to grow a pair of nuts and start purging the remainder of the brown and Eric Carter reign of terrors. Start with the D u it commanders… purge this place and get some intelligent people in these spots.

In case you missed it, last week there was a story about former Commander Tyrone Pendarvis who was picked by this clown Joshua to be his Tact Lt. per Fred Waller: https://chicago.suntimes.com/police-reform/2025/02/04/chicago-police-commander-sergeant-raids-unlicensed-strip-joint

Wallace is a Waller guy and so is Pendarvis. They’re all from the same circle.
How the fuck does someone with Wallace’s background, being 840K in debt some of which is gambling related, become Commander of Narcotics when your former partner Ronald Coleman went to prison working in Narcotics after tipping off a relative during a months long federal wire tap investigation? Fred Waller that’s how! Joshua Wallace has 47 complaints, 32 with Ronald Coleman and 16 with Tyrone Pendarvis, 13 of which are money beefs.
If someone gets pissed at you because you arrested them and they make a false complaint for money missing ok, I can see that but 13? A clear pattern.
None of the corruption will cease unless they get rid of the “old school” bosses who were as corrupt as the day is long beginning with Waller, Walker, Wallace, Ward, Watson, Talley, Tate, Courts, Ben, Branch, Harris, Barz, etc…

This is all public information: https://m.cpdp.co/officer/32401/joshua-wallace/
Just look at the coaccusals and see how many are connected and worked with each other and were previously promoted, and forced to resign, retire, and/or went to prison: Kenneth Johnson, Lobianco, Wajtan, Cato, Flagg, etc…
Look at the ones that are current exempts or retired and also have other city civilian positions after retiring.

This is almost as good as Lewellen’s old partner, Noel Sanchez who rose to chief of organized crime when his partner went to prison for running and stealing dope.
Or better yet, Juan Rivera who was chief of Internal Affairs and outted officers who came forward during the federal Ronald Watts and Kallat Muhammad arrests. Or Talley’s family member utilizing her vehicle for narcotics transactions and was never impounded when every other citizen in Chicago has to pay thousands to get their cars back. Just the sheer optics is bad and by Snelling not at the very least moving her, means he condones it and continues to foster corruption. CPD WILL NEVER get better unless they rid the department of at least the above mentioned so called inept leadership beginning with Waller and their underlings whom they continuously keep passing down the baton over and over to more fucked up inept bosses.

Back in the day if Daley found out you were trying to leave by it being leaked to the media, you were gone the same day. Especially with the continued negative publicity CPD is getting due to this guy’s controversial background.

Credit beez racist.
Just an oppressive system to hold down minorities anyways, didn’t you know that? Surely it isn’t a sign of an ability to manage, budget, and use common sense, or susceptibility to theft. Hell doesn’t he have an old partner in prison?

You’re right, there was a time when a credit check was ran to get to a unit like narcotics or gangs. Or even to get on the job. These days the department is just happy to have a warm body, regardless of past indicators of poor judgement.
Wallace checks the right boxes. So while he may not have the qualifications to take over a leadership position at multiple other agencies, rest assured the City of Chicago chose to let him rise to the top.

I worked with a PO who was also married to a PO. He did side work as a journeyman electrician. They were always in financial trouble. Always broke. PO was a degenerate gambler in hock to the bookies at the bars he hung out at. This is way before casinos came to Illinois. They probably lost a million dollars together. She finally divorced him, realizing they would always be broke and she did just fine afterwards. My guess is he's hanging out at the local casino still trying to get back the money he's lost. Still hoping for that one lucky roll...

Make Sense to be a Chief in Detroit, cause Trumps gonna make Canada State 51. Windsor To Sarnia Corridor & surrounding Lake St. Clair will be the New State Police of Canada Headquaters & Need a Detroit Chief to run & takeover after the Territory of Canada joins Statehood.
Also Lake St. Clair & Corridor will be renamed Lake Shelby & Shelby County in honor of the Kentucky Governor Issac Shelby who won the Battle of The Thames freeing Detroit & Windsor From the Grip of King of England G3 in 1813, War of 1812. Shelby was Good buddies with Andrew Jackson so it works.

You lack social skills in addition to financial skills. Simple interaction with pleasantries would help change your image that your subordinates have of you.

Lobo loved the fuckstick. Just ask the thieving Commander Mike Acosta who stole money from CPD golf outings. Got fired and fat as did time I believe. In Unit 132, Lobianco would go on Acosta office, lock the door and come out later smiling. Another suckhole in the unit, Jim R always say on a seat cushion at his desk after leaving office. We all knew what was going on. Even the cleaning woman. We always asked her who was the bitch. She just laugh and say both. We laughed our ass off at these butterflies. Enjoy Fla Jimmy.

We had a "merit" SGT in 013 who rented a APT right across the street from the station. The owner figured he didn't need to do a credit check right ? Why bother ? Well that was a mistake. Not only did this guy not pay rent for months but he trashed the place. He owed the entire District money from loans he never repaid. Finally he got shit canned when IAD discovered he had a side business going of running names on the Dept. computer for cash. Also the gangs shot up his personal car so he probably owed them too. Oh we hired some beauts back in the '80s.
