Geez, Call the Paramedics
If the Desk Sergeant saw this in lockup, he/she would be a moron not to at least get a medical clearance:
A New Jersey driver was awarded nearly $13 million after she was arrested by a state trooper who mistakenly believed she was intoxicated when she was actually suffering from a stroke, which delayed the medical care she urgently needed by several hours.
Cheryl Lynn Rhines, now 57, was having a stroke on Oct. 17, 2017, when she pulled her vehicle over on Route 78 as she was traveling from her home in Jersey City to her job in Florham Park, according to her lawsuit against the New Jersey State Police obtained by NJ.com and the New Jersey Monitor.
[...]More than two hours passed before someone at the police station eventually realized she was having a medical emergency and called an ambulance, which transported her to a hospital.
At the very least, paramedics would make an actual medical determination and spare the New Jersey tax payers a $13 million payout.
Protect yourself.

This would never happen in Chicago. Nobody does DUIs.
What would I have done?
Just keep driving by and don't stop.
Collect a check, don't do shit, retire and get out of blue states all together.
Fuck all these democrats.
I have a friend who walked around an entire day having suffered from a stroke. He drove around and met with several people, all the while people staring oddly at him and nobody saying a word. It was about his 3rd stop during the day that he realized he was talking and not making sense nor actually understanding what others were saying. Probably a dozen people had the opportunity to help him but had no idea. So it’s not necessarily gross negligence. We’re police, not doctors l. Don’t assume people know they are having a stroke or a medical episode. Depending where it’s happening in your brain, or even a tumor, can lead to all sorts of odd behavior. That said, training needs to be better for officers in this area.
Unreal.
After reading the article I just want to curse that officer out. The insensitivity of this officer to assert she was "playing games" what if she had died? Although the article never mentioned what type of training this dumbass had. If I was this women lawyer I would rip he a new one, and I do wonder how he would feel if it was his mom under the same circumstance.
Why stop anyone, check still arrives on same date.
This also happened in NW Indiana (Valparaiso?) just a few months ago. At least a portion of the bodycam footage is public.
There’s always those weird officers that insist everyone is high or drunk, can never be anything else.
At least it wasn't Snooki.
Thanks for your 2 cents, Dr. Vinnie Boombatz
I worked with a guy who was accused of being drunk at work. He was sent to a medical clinic for testing and it turns out he was diabetic and his blood sugar was out of whack!
Talking and not making sense? Most would just assume that he was a CPD Exempt. Or perhaps and Alderman.
Vomit, drooping eye, couldn’t say anything other than yes or no, I would have just called for ems, no need to act like you saved the day doing a dui on a women who was already pulled over. Go with to the hospital if you have a hard on for dui’s and get a blood draw. These coppers are the worst and lack common sense and the ability to read the room.
The problem with that logic is, if it was your family member, would you want the copper to keep driving? Several years back, one of our troopers reported responding to more ill, or mentally ill, drivers off 9-1-1 DUI calls than actual DUIs.
Decades ago, I had a stroke while working. The boss thought I was drunk and sent me home saying "Go get some rest, we'll cover for you!" (wink..wink)
He meant well, It was a different generation. Shortly after I was home, I ended up in ICU for 11 days. I did recover somewhat, returned to full duty, and made it to retirement!
Remember this one from Chicago? $22.5 million. Woman with mental issues arrested, sent to lock-up then released into a "bad neighborhood." Bad ending. Family called the station informing them of the woman's problems. They ignored the family's warnings and signs of her mental issues and it went down hill from there.

Moral of the story, seek a medical clearance if their is any doubt about the arrestee. I know it is a pain in the ass procedure but better then going to federal court as a defendant.
I remember that story, remember her going out the window at Robert Taylor where the hood rats brought her upstairs to gang rape her.
“ She was taken to a South Side police station and held overnight. Despite calls from her parents telling police she suffered from bipolar disorder, police released her near the Robert Taylor Homes public housing project, without any assistance, and dressed in a cutoff top, short shorts, and boots.
Court records indicate, although the city first argued Eilman seemed coherent while in custody, several police officers testified in depositions that they noticed bizarre behavior.
A short time later, she was lured to the last remaining building of the Robert Taylor Homes, and was raped at knifepoint, before she fell from a 7th floor window, causing a severe brain injury, and several broken bones. She now requires constant care, and is living with her parents in California.”
