More Money Gone
The electric car boondoggle is still exploiting taxpayers for millions, and governor Porkulous is still pissing away money:
Electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian is set to build a $120 million supplier park near its headquarters in Normal, backed by $16 million in state funds.
The investment was announced by Gov. JB Pritzker on Monday.
The 1.2 million square foot supplier park is expected to create 100 new jobs and bolster supply chains and manufacturing for EVs.
That's right. Taxpayers are putting up $16 million for (maybe) 100 jobs - $160K per job that might pay $60K or $70K. Meanwhile, not even six months ago:
Lion Electric, an electric bus manufacturing company, announced hundreds of layoffs this month and suspended its operations in a Chicago suburb, according to officials.
The company, which the state of Illinois partnered with as part of its goal to become an electric vehicle manufacturing hub, revealed Sunday that it would temporarily lay off roughly 400 employees in both Canada and the U.S. The layoffs were made across all departments within the company, Lion Electric said, noting that it would leave just 300 employees to manage their bus manufacturing sales and delivery operations, along with customer service.
As a results of the layoffs, the company also said it would suspended manufacturing operations at its Joliet facility.
Lion Electric was in line to get $50 million in tax subsidies back in 2022.
But don't worry, they'll just raise taxes. Again.
Like the automatic gas tax increase that just kicked in.

Rivian is owned by filthy rich investors with Amazon owning about 20 percent. Let them pick up the additional 16 million. Or Gov JB Porky could up with it as it would loose pocket change for him. But he wants to stiff Illinoisans again because nobody will protest.
Please give credit to the governor for these brilliant investments as a testament to his qualifications for president!

The Belvedere assembly plant in Belvedere, formerly a Chrysler plant now Stelantis, is/was building a battery and part supply facility behind the former assembly plant building but has now decided that they are not going thru with the project. The EV thing is jist not working out but as usual democrats like Pritzger continue to fund the EV revolution with tax dollars. The fat slob wants to be president, one could only imagine how he would make biden look like a genius.

Rivian is the new Solyndra. Outgoing “Biden” junta gave them $6.6 Billion last November to try to restart “paused” plant in Georgia. Loser Republican Gov. Kemp has given them millions too. The plant will never be built. The Illinois plant will never be working anywhere near capacity because it’s a product that nobody wants. Trump needs to investigate.
His mansion is still toiletless. Hence, very little taxes being paid on it!

Rivian? Tesla? I think that Rivian loses the amount of the sale price on every vehicle they sell to the public. They have however been making money on the delivery vans for Amazon (less fires-better quality). But then again Amazon is their biggest owner. Musk kept lowering the prices on his cars (A Model 3 with cloth seats?) but he was making BILLIONS on CARBON CREDITS which is a huge part of his income. The electric vehicle industry can not survive without Carbon Credits. Unless you put a huge tax on carbon fueled cars.
