Paroled for Gun Charges - Gets More Guns
When Maurice Reddick arrived at his ex-partner’s home in South Chicago on Tuesday night, things went sideways quickly. Within an hour, prosecutors say, he would open fire on a woman, shoot at two uniformed CPD officers, and then hide in a basement crawlspace surrounded by three guns, one of them an AR-15 style rifle equipped with a working machine gun conversion device.
Reddick, a 34-year-old on parole for his second gun conviction, faces multiple felonies, including two counts of attempted murder of a peace officer. Judge John Hock detained him following a detention hearing on Friday. The state is also moving to revoke his parole.
You know how you keep parolees from getting more guns? Stop doing this:
- Reddick’s criminal history includes a four-year prison sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Public records show he was paroled on May 27 last year after serving half that sentence. In 2021, he received a one-year sentence for illegal gun possession but did not serve prison time, having accumulated enough credits while awaiting trial on an ankle monitor.
And keep them in f#$%ing prison.

Hey Bud, Back when i worked at cook county department of corrections this stuff never happened. I sit back in my trailer home and remember the good old days in the guard tower with my shotgun waiting for an escape.

Double jeopardy?
It's the demographic. Too many in jail, so easier optics to free them as they all carry in the hood. Remember the bicycle guy, with a gun in his backpack, who got off a few years ago for stating in essence, everyone carries because you need one in his area? Many years ago, lots of children's deaths happened because poppas kept their weapons at the ready on coffee tables or on tvs because of all the break ins? This was back when father's were still around. Can you imagine, the hoods were less dangerous because father's were around? Still not any place you'd visit, but actually family oriented and neighbors outdid each other decorating their homes. Bars on windows and doors, but at least maintained as best as they could afford.
Again the theme is democrats soft on crime putting everyone anywhere near Chicago in Danger!

I have no problem with releasing every single shit head criminal that’s currently incarcerated. The thing I would do is find a gigantic area to dump all of these criminals in and open this no go zone to all of the liberals in the world that love criminals and love to make excuses for their bad behavior and see how this social experiment ends.
