Shades of Yummy
You bring too much heat, you're going to get burned, this time in Texas:
- A teenage fugitive being hunted for the September murder of a
17-year-old girl has been found shot dead in his bullet-riddled car.
Deshawn Suggs, 18, was the sole suspect in the murder of Alianna Ujueta, 17, who was shot in the head while leaving a house party in San Antonio, Texas, nearly four months ago.
A warrant was issued for Suggs’ arrest in November — but he was not found until early Saturday, when he was found dead in a car on San Antonio’s Far West Side.
Texas might have convicted him, perhaps even executed him in the future, but this way is much more .... efficient (?) for all involved.
Let's see if it catches on.

Vigilantism... doesn't care who's a member. Takes care of business when "The Justice System" fails to do so. I don't think the criminals will like that too much... anyhoo...
This happens more often then you think. Suspects or "persons of interest" sometimes end up dead due to community involvement in seeking justice that the police or courts can not provide.
I’ll bet everything that I own that 99.9% of readers won’t have clue the first who “Yummy” is, let alone Sandifer.

Just had to check, because I remembered the Time Magazine cover in the grocery store. I was 14 at the time and I remember reading about this non-demonized yute.
If only family members would start offing the killers of their kids instead of relying in the local justice apparatuses, crime would be a lot lower. I’ve never understood how fathers seldom hunt down the people who kill their kids…even after release from the penitentiary.
