So Many "Isolated" Incidents
Remember, these are "isolated" incidents that happen on average about two or three times a week:
A gunman shot two women during an armed robbery in the West Loop overnight, police said.
The two victims were standing in the 600 block of West Randolph Street around 12:50 a.m. when the gunman exited a white SUV and approached them, according to a CPD media statement. He demanded their property, took a purse from one woman, then opened fire, striking both women, police said.
A 21-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the knee and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition. A 33-year-old woman was taken to Rush Hospital with a graze wound to her hip, CPD said.
Too bad we don't have the old "decoy" guys like J. F. or the Second Deputy who would be undercover playing the part of the unaware victim and then "neutralizing" the offender. They would have put a dent in some of these crime numbers.

Not denying that tactic wouldn’t make the robbery numbers bottom out.
However, at what cost?
I got an OT check saying that even today, they would want to indict the officers involved.
It just ain’t worth it anymore.
It was a targeted shooting, so there is no threat to the community.

Just a "random dead person," as Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D - TX) categorizes crime victims.

Seem to recall a pattern of pizza delivery robberies in 024 once. LT cut a hand hole in bottom of pizza box and had a Beretta 92 ready in there.
Oops.
We need someone like Sgt. Jack Runyan. He’d put an end to all this very quickly.
Was there that night when someone made a "pizza delivery."
Maybe a little vigilantism would be a good thing here. Because as the police we sure can’t do anything
The Second Deputy kicked butt!
Back in the day, Frank Pape would stake out locations for robbery offenders. Their goal was to end the robberies and with that end the robbers. You would not want Pape hunting for you as a robbery offender. Nine dead. Different era.

When you saw the "hangman's noose" in the 1800's or the Electric Chair, there were people who were afraid of the consequences! No more! Now we're all enlightened. Give him his 55th chance! God help us all!
Community policing at its finest where the community locates a murder suspect who was wanted on a warrant for the death of a teenage girl and served it in their own way. No EM for that guy.
