Chicago police and parents are on alert for so-called "teen takeovers" planned for the coming days.
Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Police Department said those takeovers are expected to take place at North Avenue Beach.
It comes as the issue of teen takeovers continues to prompt concern in Chicago and other major cities.
See the post a couple spots below about a concerted effort to put a dent in these things.

Why is the department cancelling days off June 11th all the way thru till Monday june 15th? I can see bc of PR fest doing it until Sunday night, but why would they cancel all days off including 3rd watch on Monday the 15th?
I blame the oblivious yuppies and suburban turds that insist on bringing their families downtown, because of course, nothing will ever happen to them! Right? After working a long day and waiting for my train to leave Union station at 4 PM, I actually see these idiots getting off of trains to frolic in Chicago! All the half-naked suburban Trixie's. If we make downtown Chicago a ghost town! Maybe then things will change.
