The good news is he's polling worse than ever:
A new public opinion poll says Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker remains low on the list of voters’ preferred choices in the 2028 Democratic Party primary election for president.
The Center Square Voters' Voice Poll was conducted by Noble Predictive Insights, a nonpartisan public opinion polling firm, from June 1-4, 2026 and surveyed registered voters nationally.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris finished first with 27% of the vote among 1,013 Democrats who responded. 17% said they were not sure.
Next was California Gov. Gavin Newsom at 14%, former U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg at 11% and New York U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 8%.
Pritzker and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear both came in at 2%.
The bad news is that means Illinois is stuck with his ass

Pathetic to see governor spaulding blame trump as the reason to reelect him in tv commercials, rather than tout any accomplishments. This guy and the legislature squandered a windfall on federal funds from the scamdemic “relief” on who knows what, touting the great financial shape the budget was in that one year. The state is worse than ever, not for lack of tax inflow, but because there seems to be little knowledge or discipline about where the money should be spent. Income, property, sales, and gas taxes are way up. Pensions are underfunded at best. Public schools are largely embarrassing for the money flowing in vs the performance of the students. Money from gas taxes is being diverted to the general fund, away from fixing the roads where they said it was needed and promised it would go. The biggest repair expense on my family cars during the JB reign has been replacing shocks and engine mounts.
IL taxes have had raises that surpass mine over the last ten years. I don’t blame the people with the means to run from this dumpster fire. Caring for aging parents on both sides is the only reason I’m still here. This place is doomed with the trend of state — and most local — government.
Republicans need to wake up and stop being the feeble foil in this scam. How can they stand idle and not draw attention from the public about what is going on? Are they happy with the quite lucrative part time gig and the bennies and that’s just fine?
Thinking about Max Velocity weather updates on YT and if there was someone tracking IL govt with a daily update like he does with storms, that might get the impact out to the voters; the “news” has mostly failed there.
