And by "success," we mean driving another job producer out of Illinois:
A decision to restructure its beef operations has prompted Tyson Foods to abruptly close an Illinois facility, affecting about 2,500 workers in the Quad Cities area.
Citing “one of the most historic cattle shortages the country has ever experienced,” Tyson Foods announced Thursday that it was permanently closing its beef processing plant in Joslin, Illinois, and its case-ready facility in Eagle Mountain, Utah. The company also announced plans to sell its beef processing facility in Pasco, Washington.
We drove through the Quad Cities a year or so ago on the way to somewhere else....and believe us, it can't afford to lose 2,500 decent paying jobs.

When they can’t raise money through property taxes and fees, or increase fees in other government-regulated services, they borrow from Illinois or Chicago or other banks to meet their financial needs, regardless of bond ratings. They roll over the old debt into the new loan, and the banks collect more interest from taxpayers.
It’s not just Illinois. Tyson is closing their plant in Eagle Mountain, Utah and is looking to sell the plant in Pasco, Washington.

Morton Salt was in Chicago for 176 years (from its founding in 1848 until it moved its headquarters to Kansas in December 2024). The Trailer Train Company (now TTX Company) has been based in the Chicago area for 71 years, having been founded in November 1955. Most of the countrys railroad flatcars with double stacked forty foot containers (which end up on semi-truck rigs for delivery everywear or on/from slow boats from China) was due to TrailerTrain ( now TTX). Their headquarters were here because THE CITY OF CHICAGO WAS THE CENTER OF THE RAILROAD INDUSTRY FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY, THEY WERE HERE 71 YEARS. I WONDER WHY THEY LEFT!

Seems like Porky has "No Plan. No Plan at All" is he just going to let the state bleed factories and jobs away like this? After I retired, I bought a small farm out in western Illinois. I bought some local beef and pork back then and it was some of the best I ever had. Now I live out of state too. 2500 jobs is an incredible loss to a rural area. If you include the farmers that raise the cattle the number is even higher. Does Porky understand that losing a processing plant means less food? I would think he would be greatly concerned about this. But again, I see that he has "No Plan. No Plan at all." This what you get when you elect someone who has never had a job or ran a real buisness before.
If you mean success like factories closing their doors, and workers being laid off by the thousands, then yes. Porkulous is at the peak of his career. Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost since he became governor. Fortune 500 companies have moved on. Congratulations Porky! And the silence from the media is deafening.
