COVID Lawsuit in NJ
COVID Civil Rights Violations cases are still wending their way through the courts....and citizens are winning, even in deep-blue New Jersey:
Ian Smith, co-owner of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey, has achieved a monumental victory. A New Jersey court has dismissed all 80 charges against him, charges that stemmed from his bold decision to reopen his gym in direct defiance of Democrat Governor Phil Murphy’s tyrannical COVID-19 lockdown orders.
The saga began in May 2020, when Smith reopened Atilis Gym, challenging the Murphy administration’s mandates, which he and his supporters argue are unconstitutional and detrimental to small businesses.
The confrontation escalated in July 2020 when police officers forcefully arrested Smith after he continually violated the state’s shutdown orders. A swarm of police officers burst through the door of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey arrested the owners for violating Governor Murphy’s authoritarian shutdown order.
The governor even seized (stole) $165,000 from a legal defense fund for the gym raised via online solicitations, the same way Trudeau froze bank accounts of Canadian truckers protesting the lockdowns in allegedly "free" Canada.
But Smith won a massive victory in court:
On Saturday, Smith announced that the court dropped all charges with prejudice. This means the state is utterly barred from refiling these charges against Smith and Atilis Gym, signaling a definitive victory for the small business owner and a stinging rebuke of Gov. Murphy’s authoritarian tactics.
Smith did not mince words, directly challenging Governor Murphy with a phrase that has since gone viral: “Suck my d—k Phil Murphy.”
Now hopefully, he sues for damages and wins. It would be a great precedent.

Some having over 25 yrs …….. many got the vax the last day ordered ……. Several got the “exemption “ way past the mayor’s deadline ! All should be compensated greatly ! Our union dropped the ball on this …..

As a Libertarian, I 100% support ending qualified immunity. End qualified immunity for politicians and police officers.
Ending qualified immunity would ensure politicians, cops, judges, prosecutors, etc... would act within the confines of the law and not their personal beliefs.
Hope some places here, in Chicago, do the same. Go after the city or state, esp fatass, since he and his family violated it many times and what Bug eyes put everyone through, except her hairdresser.

Thankfully is was retired and not in a position to make a choice of job vs jab. We, Mrs and I, did not get the COVID shots and were subjected to a fair amount of criticism from some friends and family. Just about destroyed our relationship with a couple of them. But in the long run most everyone we know who got the COVID shots got COVID, some two or three times. At least 6 had heart issues that required ablations, one had to do it twice, to correct Afib. 1 cousin died from blood clots, sister in law was using a walker for 6 months when she developed Guillan-Barre syndrome a week after getting shot up. Neither of us had COVID. To this day I believe we made the right decision. There needs to be some accountability for the damages done by forcing people to take an unproven experimental drug or else.
Next time that "our handlers" try a stunt like that again (covid), the laws will have been changed so that they can't be held responsible.

Finally some good news. Keep those lawsuits rolling against the far-left dictators in NJ, CA, IL, NY, WA, MA, MI and DC. How many of our citizens committed suicide, lost their homes and businesses or have heart issues because of those insane COVID policies? Never forgive...and never forget.
They are going to pull their shenanigans again in preparation for “The Big Steal Part 2”.

So what. That was done here. HBG 2 over on Archer near Curie high school. Old hole in the wall gym. Owner never enforced a thing he knew it was bullsiht all along. Didn’t care. Numerous times inspectors came in and fined him sent him cease and desist letters even court summons. He never ever once paid a single fine never once showed up to court. I was in there maskless working out like it was 2019 like everybody else when city inspectors came in with a fine he would laugh and tear it up in front of them. He would do the same when CCS came in with a summons to appear in court. He laughed and tore it up.
He would say…. “I’m old I don’t have the money I ain’t going downtown they can do whatever they want screw them…”
Guess what. He’s still open. Nothing ever came about it. Nothing. Ever. Nothing at all. Why? He was never doing anything illegal. He was resisting a mere suggestion. The guys in NJ also knew that. So did Brandon from Brickhouse Gym in Carol Stream. They defied it all and absolutely nothing ever came out of it.
The guys at BBC on the northwest side knew it also. Laughed at the fines and summons. In fact: one of those fines are framed hanging in the gym to this day.

I did not follow one covid bs mandate from day one. Did not follow fat ass orders to stay home, and gave my business to restaurants and bars that defied the orders, mainly in Lake and McHenry counties, as well as Wisconsin and Michigan. Also traveled to Texas and Florida to visit friends using a dealer tag my friend who owns a dealer gave me to use in order to avoid being forced to be tested. Went deer hunting with a friend who tested positive for it, never got it, and completely UNVACCINATED AND WILL STAY THAT WAY, absolutely will NEVER have a personal physician, physical examination or ANY vaccination, last time was in 1988 and have no intention of that ever changing.

You asked a stupid question. No cars were ticketed or towed unless they were illegally parked. That's a fact. There's no lawsuit there. You're lucky being an idiot isn't a crime, or you'd be posting your stupidity from prison.
NJ isn’t deep blue. Just the powers that be are. Us NYers look at Jersey like it’s Texas. Murphy almost lost last time.

Same. Found a list of 5-7 restaurants/sports bar type places that defied all orders and treated everyone like it was 2019. Gyms I went to would force people NOT to wear a mask. I knew of a couple grocery stores that didn’t play the game either.
Not even in the burbs in the city.
Baffles me how people were scrambling back then. Didn’t get jabbbed either didn’t update any portal didn’t do a thing not even at work did I wear a mask or follow an order. Nobody said a word or checked a thing. All random numbers and dates I knew the city didn’t have a team of studios focused individuals who were checking double cross referencing and examining serial numbers on “cards”. You all could have put your latest lottery numbers or sports statistics in the portal and it would have been acceptable. Dummies.
As far as the gym owner in NJ that’s great but as someone pointed out the gyms I went to defied all orders don’t close didn’t force masks or limit patrons nothing. They’re called privately owned hardcore gym with the owner being patriotic and I’m not talking about Quads over on Broadway you couldn’t even walk past that gym without a temperature check and a Skype conference with your doctor. It pays to not go to corporate franchise gyms. I always say if a business closed down it was because they wanted to. If someone got jabbed it was because they wanted to.
