Great Work Detectives

One murder solved:

  • A teen boy accused in the fatal shooting of a child on the Near West Side made his first court appearance on Saturday.

16-year-old Raysean Comer, who has been charged as an adult, is facing one felony count of first-degree murder, and one felony count of personally discharging a firearm that proximately caused the death of the victim.

The teen was ordered to stay in custody and the Judge said that it went without saying that he acted recklessly when he allegedly took the life of 7-year-old Jai’Mani Amir Rivera.

And get a load of this:

  • In court on Saturday, prosecutors described how an acquaintance of the teen was with him playing cards after the murder.

“During that card game another person who was playing told the defendant he will have nightmares about what he did. Referring to killing people,” Rodgers said. “In response, the defendant said ‘I didn’t mean to do that.'”

The defense argued that the teen shouldn’t be tried as an adult. They said he is going to be a high school senior in the fall, gets A’s and B’s, and is on the football team.

But in response, prosecutors said the teen has a record of escalating criminal behavior.

"Escalating" means two pending felony cases.

And the card playing a few days later? Someone at the card game knew he had done the shooting and the only excuse given was, "I didn't mean to do that." Seems he was just firing the rifle in random directions to amuse himself and one of the rifle rounds managed to find it's way into the chest cavity of a seven-year-old.

But don't demonize him - he gets A's and B's in CPS and plays football.

So he was firing a rifle? Where did he purchase it? Who purchased it for him?

Here's another poster child for anti-second-amendment people to demonize those who follow the law, but is this honor student / athlete responsible? How about his parents who help him with homework and drive him to and from football practice? Will the parents get 15 years in prison, as those other parents did? That said, why aren't more parents of these juvenile criminals being prosecuted for their neglect of their offspring who become such burdens to the rest of society?

As & Bs in CPS?

That just means he’s actually able to write his name legibly and shows up 1 day a week.
(2 days per week during football season).

Did the 7 year old get good grades before this scholar murdered him? How is some shitbag's performance in school relevant to his guilt in committing the murder of an innocent 7 year old child? If he scored 10 touchdowns, does he get 2 free child murders? Straight As means he can kill a senior citizen? They'll do anything to excuse the violent crimes of a black criminal. It's disgusting and infuriating.

According to the news (we know what that’s worth) but in this report she sounded like she knew her info. The card playing minor who is getting EXACTLY what he deserves had an ankle monitor but “tampered” with it?? Then the reporter said that the ankle monitor was cut off near some railroad tracks??? I worked W/ those ankle monitors back in 90’s. I have to imagine they have updated technology?? My point is when the ankle monitor doesn’t move for hours they should send a refresher signal & if the monitor doesn’t move immediately send someone out to check it immediately & immediately revoke his bail, bond. That

Black youths being guided by black politicians who say they are just kids. No need to hold them accountable. Don't demonize them. Give them opportunities. Dont respect the law, your family, your church or common sense.

All of the death and mayhem we are seeing is a direct result of the democratic fools.
Johnson
Foxx
Preckwinkle
Pritzker
Dart
Evans
And the leftist moron at the teachers union.
Any accusations that all of these crimes are racist since the black community is getting the brunt of gunfire????
No because the shooters are black.
All of these elected idiots need a reality slap!
A lot of decent, respectful people are being shot and killed at a horrifying rate!
Heads up their ass

I'll call his Attorneys bluff...post his grade transcripts and attendance record. The only thing missing is his attorney forgot to mention to the courts he has aspirations to be a Doctor. Lol lol

Another teen killer from the Community randomly takes the life of an innocent child. Another mother grieves her loss, another corner balloon release and the usual street side candles. The "beasts" lives and flourishes in the Community. They kill, maim and violate the members in their community at will, on a whim and as desired.

The mayoral village idiot and his city administration is predominately Black and Democratic. Under their watch the killing season in Chicago is big business and business is good. Taxpayer money is spent on more bullshit programs that keeps the Community docile, voting for continued Democratic rule and thereby keeping the Community on the political plantation. The power to change things is in their voting bloc. Keep voting for supposedly Community leaders like Conehead, Kim Foxx, Prickwinkle and the Springfield Boss Hog.

You pay a heavy price for your loyalty to the Democrats, socialists, radicals and other liberals. Keep bending the knee to these slugs. Pay no attention curbside as your sons and daughters lay bleeding out on our streets. You get what you vote for and deserve.

"You know, if I had a son, he'd look like Raysean Comer & Trayvon," Mr. Obama said.

"All of us have to do some soul-searching to figure out how does something like this happen," he continued. "And that means that we examine the laws and the context for what happened as well as the specifics of the incident."

Sounds like DOJ needs to investigate Kenilworth, Lake Forest, Glencoe & maybe the Rothschild & Co. for starters.

Not Sure who should be lead Det. on this Soul-Searching investigation, probably should include of few from the Newly Minted Det. group just like the Movie The Departed stars Matt D, Wallburg & Leo?

Your Gonna need a good Double, if not Quadruple, Agent/Det.
It will get messy when you find out whose running the top CI.

Regarding all the comments asking will his parents be charged like Highland Park and Michigan parents, the situations are not equal.

The Highland Park shooters father signed his under age FOID card application despite him being a head case and freak and despite cops being called to their house for him assaulting family members. I believe cops even removed kid’s knives and maybe a sword.

The Michigan shooters parents bought him the gun. Then when the school called day before shooting because he was searching for ammunition on his phone the mother sent him a text saying “LOL I’m not mad at you. You have to learn not to get caught.” Then the day of the shooting they called the parents into school because he was drawing pictures of somebody with a bullet in their head with the words blood is everywhere, my life is useless, and the world is dead. The parents didn’t ask him where his gun was and refused to take him home. Then after they left he shot up the school.

I’m all for somebody finding a way to start holding the parents of these ghetto rats accountable. And I also understand that some kids are just fucked up and the parents can’t be held responsible even when the parents try. But until we see that the shooter’s parents knew what he was up to (which is very possible) these false equivalencies just make us look stupid.

Ghetto parents? Good luck. Try to find even one of them. They are like dinosaurs, unicorns and hen teeth. You might find madear, auntie or a guardian appointed by the state, but not a parent(s). In reference to your mention of parents, it seems life, as you most likely know it, does not exist there. It is a world unto itself.

30 grand a year is what CPS gets per child. And they want more. Remeber that when you vote. They want more resources. They want to get rid of charter schools because they only get 10 percent off the top, and because they consistently out perform a union school. They dont want parents to have a choice of getting thier kids a better education and away from thier indoctrination centers of lower expectations. The teachers union is the enemy. The union leadersship wont send their children to a regular cps school. Hell they dont even want to live in the state, and were pissed covid did not let them work remotely for life

"teen boy charged as an adult"... heh.

How about just "teen charged as an adult"? Fucking lamestream media always trying to downplay everything.

Did he have a FOID card? Did his parents sign off on it? Maybe they can be charged like Bob Crimo, Jr up in Lake County now that the precedent has been set.

Who'd he buy the gun from? Get the ammo from? How about charging that person (or persons) with crimes too? Charge them with felony murder.

Start locking up all these turds...

*blinks* oh wait, I forgot I'm in Chicago... nevermind. Carry on.

Not defending the kind in HP at all. But after the cops took the kids knives/sword, they filed the usual paperwork with ISP and DCFS. ISP didn't process a thing. DCFS found the complaint unfounded, so the dad went to the police station and retrieved the knives/sword and kept them.

Consider that if any of those agencies had done their job properly that the dad probably wouldn't have signed off on the FOID application. If he had signed off on it, then the FOID would have been rejected outright by ISP. Or if that paperwork was delayed, then the FOID would be issued, but revoked later.

Every single day you have a FOID (except maybe Christmas and New Years), you get matched against background events. Something pops up and your FOID is getting pulled. How many years did they have to figure something out about this kid?

Then when the kid turned 21 he was issued an adult FOID. Did they do another background check just for giggles? The kid made multiple purchases and filled out the 4473's each time, nothing popped up. He bought ammo, nothing popped up.

The kid turns 22, goes off the rails and we're supposed to believe it's the father's fault for something he signed off on 4 years earlier? That just nuts. The dad ran for mayor against the scumbag democrat incumbent, and it was a contentious campaign. The incumbent is known to be vindictive. So of course she pounced on the opportunity to have him prosecuted... and the dad wanted to protect his son from having to testify at HIS trial, so he pled guilty and did some jail time....

The kid is going to plead guilty - GOOD. So he'll be locked up forever....

I'm all for calling out the parents whenever they're actually responsible, but in this case I don't think that was the case...
