Hollywood's bright lights are fading fast for Goldie Hawn, and she's ready to get the heck out of Dodge. The actress, 78, admitted her home in Los Angeles was "robbed once" recently while she was out to dinner for a few hours with Kurt Russell, her partner of over 40 years.
"What if we couldn't live in LA, where would we live? We both decided, I think it's Palm Desert. … It's so safe," Hawn reminisced about her dream location to plant new roots while appearing on the SiriusXM podcast "Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa."
"It's just 'cause L.A. is terrible. I mean, we were robbed once."
Now imagine you're not rich enough to have a tall fence, a burglar alarm, possibly some armed security nearby.

Goldie is no genius. Her intelligence level was clearly displayed on Laugh-In and it never improved in the ensuing 56 years.

I took the hint back in the 80's that LA was bad. Everyone had bars on their windows. Those window companies selling on TV need to include options for bars in the Chicago area. "CALL NOW, for window bar grade"!!!

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell don’t actually live in L.A. anyway. Believe me, I know for a fact they’re in Pacific Palisades. It’s an area about 20 miles west of downtown L.A. closer to Santa Monica. It’s a beautiful area close to the ocean. Big surfer area. About 5 miles from the UCLA campus and not too far from L.A. Country Club. Real popular with the entertainment industry and money people in the area. Houses are in the millions
Like Chicago, people from suburban L.A. have to go into the City to conduct business. The demographics of Pacific Palisades are not the problem for Goldie and Kurt Russell. It’s over 83% white, 1% black, a few Hispanics and others. It’s L.A. that’s the problem.
