After all that criticism everyone made last week, the 022nd District up and kills guy last night. A few more of these instances and all the young guns on the department will be demanding to bid to 022 because that's where the action is.

The shooting you are refering to happened at 77th and Keating thats the 008th district(crazy 8 ballers district) not the 022nd. The officer was off duty and shot a auto burglar.
The crazy 8ballers was just to counter all the "englewood ranger " crap on here.

Will be interesting to see whose shots hit the bad guy. The 022 guy or the two detectives.
what difference could it possibly make whose shots hit the bad guy? After hall he is DOA... Once again , I wish people would arm themselves with the facts before they start posting on this blog.
The shooting in 008 was an off-duty officer from 012 who is on the tact team I think.
I thought it was Area 1 Detectives who killed the guy today. Chase from 022 I believe.
Nope, It was two A/2 Det's and one 022nd District P.O. A/1 had to handle it because it invoved A/2 Det's
Those poor guys had the A/1 commander as the acting street ADS. Thank god everything was up & up. A copper from 12 was shot back in May and she was the acting ADS that night too. He never returned fire and was driven to County by another car. That officer took his gun, star, I.D., and vest when they wheeled him into trauma. An hour later she shows up at the hospital screaming "We have to find his gun before THEY reload it." Never asked any questions about the offender though.
You are correct about the individual. She is one of the last persons I'd want investigating my shooting. I think though the regular midnight ADS was working that night.
The boss who handled the shooting was the regular ADS, not an actor.
