Scandal! City Pays for Unused Time!
Our buddy, Fran "Hired What?" Spielman attempts to follow in the giant footprints that Warmbir and Novak have been leaving all over her back with this little gem yesterday about the city buying out aides to the mayor who leave with accrued vacation time.
Huh? In what job isn't it acceptable to buy out people who have unused time on the books? Every job we've ever held (and believe us, we've held a s***load of jobs over the years), if we had vacation time on the books, we got it in cash. Fran's biggest payout she found among the 13 mayoral aides who have left was $18,817 from some schmuck in the offices of the HDO, center of the "Hired Truck" scandal.
Let us just be among the first to say "Eeeek!" We can name three supervisors on this job who have retired with over 8,000 hours on the books and one with 12,000 hours who have quit within the past fifteen years or so.
Fran's totals for 13 civilians = $164,974
Our one supervisor = about $540,000 (before taxes)

To 0141: Yes, but those people in the SCC post quit before they were fired.......
They should make the boss's use up their hours before they retire. It would save us millions, and get rid of most of those useless a--holes.
