Have We Made Our Point Yet?

Yesterday, someone ticked us off by posting about 20 asinine comments, one right after the other in the span of about 7 minutes.

Yesterday was NOT the day to go and piss us off.

For this, we apologize to our many readers who DO NOT require a babysitter 24/7/365. We of all people truly enjoy the benefit of being anonymous. It spares us quite a bit of grief where we work and in the spot we currently occupy. We mean what we said about this being a dictatorship - you don't like it, go elsewhere, because if we don't like it, it's going to disappear. Simple as that.

We can make this web site as serious and as sterile an environment as you can imagine. Our allowing only REGISTERED USERS is just one tiny step from making this blog a completely fun-free zone. Trust us, we enjoy the photoshopping and the occasionally amusing Seiser asides (we've even participated). But wading through some of this crap is just annoying to us, and we only come here two or three times a day to post and edit stuff.

Let's try to make this painless and enjoyable for everyone. Comments will be reopened to all very shortly and we hope we don't have to teach this lesson again for a while. Because although we got quite a few e-mails SUPPORTING registered comments, it does cramp everyone's style and that isn't what we started this for. We started it for everyone to GET information.

I, for one, totally support blogger registration. Notice how the potentially libelous posts have disappeared. The spelling and grammar are even relatively flawless.

Compare SCC with the NYPD RANT. Registration identifies those assholes that would try to sabotage a site with bald-faced lies, juvenile drivel, blatant racism, porn, etc. Yet the RANT is consistently hilarious.

A poster can still retain his/her anonymity by just using a virtually untraceable nickname. However, when some coward or provocateur crosses the line, a remedy is available.

I know many have their own agenda and disagree with me. Nonetheless, these totally "anonymous" bullshit posts leave much to be desired. One moron or troll with a devious agenda can disrupt an entire thread and any meaningful discourse therein.

I know all too well that the City will retaliate against those they perceive as an embarrassment to their deeply entrenched and corrupt practices. For those that find registration intimidating, research First Amendment litigation, including any of the basic information which I have recently posted on previous threads.

The power of the Internet in exposing the TRUTH is awesome. Still, one must separate the wheat from the chaff.

Whoever you may be, SCC, I'd be delighted to meet you. You are very talented.

Your site also provides understandably frustrated coppers with a therapeutic place to vent rather than keeping the stress of the job all inside. That can be even more hazardous than the job itself.

My heartfelt compliments to SCC.

I humbly submit one suggestion. While some of the longer posts provide compelling reading, perhaps you can give us a brief tutorial on how to post hyperlinks.

Hyperlinks are easy. The tag you need to know is (a href=http://yoursite.com). All tags have a beginning and an end.

Say the address to the site you want to link to is http://www.TheFOPDoesNothing.com

And you want it to appear in a sentence. The way you'd type that in the comment box is as follows.

"And yesterday the FOP board (a href="http://www.thefopdoesnothing.com")voted(/a) for another way of screwing its membership when it agreed to get Daley's car washed every week, at our expense!"

Replace the parentheses with a "<" and ">" to open and close the link. Voila!

The way that the HTML code knows when to close a link is by the slash key.

I'd much rather see links in a post than whole sections of the story copied and pasted. Makes things so much more efficient and neat.

They did the same thing at the 63rd. and halsted mall. Always led by the GD-asshole, Jesse Jackson wannbe, police batterer Hal Baskin. He would show up with a bunch of guys who never worked a day of construction or any other job. Never operated heavy equiptment but they were gonna do the work? Appearantly when you win a bid in a black neighborhood, you are not allowed to bring your own trained and trusted employees. Amazing how every freakin' immigrant can find a job, bust their ass 14 hours a day and avoid an IR #, but these assholes can't (won't) get work. they won't work the way up, no no "gots to be the HNIC".

Good article. Is pretty obvious in France. Will be the case (similar yet different) here.

Muslim Europe

"Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam." So declares Oriana Fallaci in her new book, La Forza della Ragione, or, "The Force of Reason." And the famed Italian journalist is right: Christianity's ancient stronghold of Europe is rapidly giving way to Islam.

Well, let's see if your hyperlink tutorial works. I'm going to try post a 6-page link to a riveting article concerning the Black Panthers' bogus claims of "genocide". If it works, my thanks.

You can read it by clicking on href="http://www.edwardjayepstein.com/archived/panthers.htm

By the way, under the "Case of Larry Roberson", Dan Sampila, Ken Gorles and I were working the same watch (of the late Capt. Phil Moss) in Fillmo' wnen both were shot by Roberson at 610 S. California Ave.

I know that Danny and Kenny could tell the then unborn volumes about these murderous thugs.

Obviously, the hyperlink did NOT work. Also, I know there is a way that rather than a lengthy link appearing on the blog, there is a way that it will only appear in this case as "Panther "Genocide' Claims". How do you do that?

Rue St. Michel: You can eMail me at:

Thank you.
