Another attempted hold up and two of three offenders get shot. Good job by the officer according to initial reports. Be careful out there people. Remember that "off duty" shouldn't mean "off guard."

the bad guys tried to take his car. officer saw the offenders break lights. he pulled his pistol and its time to get it on. 2 shot 1 got away. good job.
Good job! I'm glad the copper wasn't hurt. Unfortunately his reward is -as a tax paying citizen- paying for their medical bills while they recover. Oh, let us not forget the possibility of civil litigation.
Too bad public aid doesn't have some system in place that discriminates which injuries are treated based on how they were received. It would save us a bundle...this comment being from a former social worker.

"ladies and gentlemen of the media i want announce that i represent the two VICTIMS in a lawsuit against the City of Chicago and the police officer that attacked my clients without provacation. On the night in question my clients were on their way to choir practice and were delivering water and fans to senior citizens that were suffering from the heat when they observed what they believed was one of their fellow citizens in distress as he drove home at 3:30 AM and concerned only for his well being they made sure and followed him all the way home to insure that he made it home safely. My clients felt so strongly for the citizens safety that they took out their guns so they could provide an armed escort for the suffering citizen.
My clients went onto say that they were so concerned about their fellow man that they tried to get his attention because he was crazy from the heat by yellng at him GET OUTTA THE CAR MUTHER FUCKER! because they just wanted to let him know that they were there to help him qand that it was only an accident that one of my clients pointed his gun at the man's head and they never meant any harm, when again without provocation the Offender started shooting at my clients without regard for their safety and real reason for being there, one of my clients was so concerned that he accidently pointed his gun at the OFFENDER and pulled the trigger, but because he cared so much and didnt want to hurt the OFFENDER he let the gun deliberately misfire. Even after being shot both of my clients did not try to hurt the Offender but rather continued on their way to choir practice and delivering the water and fans to seniors until they couldnt go any further and went to hospital. These men are heroes and should be commended for their restraint and dedication to mankind, the violent, brutal police officer whose home address we have to give out for his own protection should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Thank You for your support."

A good shooting all around in the off duty copper attempted carjacking. Two (possibly all three) offenders shot, one offender died at Christ Hosp. I heard a firearm was recovered as well. The Englewood copper was definitely alert and ready when the lowlifes tried to do their thing. I don't know who the copper is, but he can be my wingman ANY DAY.
Oh, and by the way, can you racist clowns who hide behind your uniforms and badges do the rest of us a favor and CREATE YOUR OWN SUITABLE WEBSITE/BLOG for your special brand of brotherhood? You're an embarrassment to all the rest of us who do the best we can

it is safe to say that the officer will get sued since he has locked up at least one of the offender before and all the offender live in the district he works in sounds like they may have followed him home
a 13 year old m/2 was attacked at beverly park around 2:15pm today. the animal hit him in the back with a lead pipe for his cell phone. the child might not make it because of heart conditions. if the attacker was white and the victim was black it would have been all over the news. remember there animals. treat them as such.

Beverly Park is in St. John Fisher Parish, just west of Western and on the north side of 103rd Street.
I'm a bit surprised by this because every time I go by the White Hen (or is it a 7-11) across 103rd street and a little east from Beverly Park, there always seem to be two or three 22nd district units hanging around. This is at any time of the day or night.

Look, I've spent the last x-number of years giving people the benefit of the doubt. I don't care if you're black, white, yellow, or brown, if you do what I do everyday (meaning hold down a job and pay your bills without assistance), I have absolutely no problem with you. I'll treat you with the utmost respect unless given a reason to do otherwise.
The problem is that I have this growing resentment. I resent that I worked my ass off to conform to mainstream society's standards. I went to college, even graduate school. I got a job and an apartment afterwards. Now, all I see is able-bodied people getting their apartments, food, babies, medical benefits, and bills paid for. And I can't even afford to buy a house and am sickened by the prospect of sending my children to public school.
I stopped a M/1/19 a few weeks ago. As far as I could tell, he had no physical or mental deficiencies that would prohibit him from working. So, I asked, "Why don't you have a job?" His reply, "'Cause I can't find one I want." Now, if only we could all be so fortunate to have 20 or 30 years to mull over life's complexities while getting everything paid for. Maybe then, I'd be able to afford the Lincoln Navigator and satellite tv that I so often see in public housing units.
With that being said, my resentment is directed toward a government that allows a perpetual cycle of dependence. You have to admit that the people "caught in this cycle" maybe, just maybe fulfill certain stereotypes.

You people are really becoming more and more ignorant everyday. One of our own was just the victim of a very violent crime and he stepped up to the plate and did the right thing by shooting these mopes.
Now you want to question where he lives and then respond with more racial banter about not wanting him living in 016 next to you.
