f you drive down 94 around Van Buren, just north of the accident investigation center, you can notice about four of them parked next to the building between the inbound and outbound lanes. Now these might be for some type of pumping station, I am not sure.
Would you not think Cortex Trotter (Emergency guru) and ROn Lubberman (Bill Gates want to be) would think that all police stations should be considered critical infrastucture? Especially ones that are areas and stations with towers for our communications!
The stations should have a back up generator that would kick in if there is loss of power from com ed! And I am not talking about one like the generator I have in my garage.
The 011 district was a piece of shit when it opened. I have talked to guys who were there when it opened and said that the leak in the men's locker room has been there since day one.
The leak in the locker room that drips through the light housing is just across the hall from the room that is com ed's substation. Gee, you think if there is a leak at on point there might be one a total of 55 feet away in another room?

The fact Harrison and Kedzie had fire is not surprising to me. Starting in the late 70's early 80's the city had to use a percentage of MINORITY workers. In the Old days before this, yes the job took longer because they were working on city time, the job was usually done right the first time. Now with the MINORITY contractors the job is messed up and city workers have to be called in after the fact to fix the mess ups. Just ask anyone who worked in 025, 024, 011 or 004 how well theses were built by MINORITY contractors. On the Side I was a young Patrolman in the 025th Dist Late 80's early 90's and if I remember Correctly there was a Sgt. Northern there. He was a good guy and stood up for his people. I felt for him being screwed because meritorious has kept me from getting promoted even though the city made more promotions than my rank number.
